Jerry Robin ready for the Ranch !

7/24/2013 2:17pm Edited Date/Time 7/24/2013 2:19pm
Hey, didn't mean to make you all hang and wait. Yesterday was a crazy day with getting the jetting and carb dialed in. I do not think any more pics were taken, we were separated from the group. We will get some pics posted once its all stickied up.
Chad did a great job on this bike, many long nights with my Dad and Slinger. IT RIPS!!!

I spend the morning packing with my Dad and we are on our way to LL with a pit stop at Chads.

South of the Border is a great facility with a great staff, they didn't make it easy for me and I hope I can go back soon.

I need to thank everyone that bought shirts even through the company change, I know this made it harder for them but, thank you for your support.

I need to thank all my sponsors cause I wouldn't be here if not for them: South of the Border, Darius Company, Enzo (Craig is a master of suspension) Klotz, who have been with me for 9 years, Fly, Fast Guy Stuff, who set me up with vintage stickers, Engine Ice, 6D Helmets, Oakley, Alpinstar, Sikk Shades, Hot Foot Moto, ICW.. My family and friends, and to everyone that has been following this story.

See you at the races.

With the popularity of vintage and old timer racing, I'm surprised that they haven't got a prize already for the best finish on the oldest bike at LL.

This sure has garnered a lot of attention so far. It would be neat to see something like this every year, where guys take on the newest bikes with some vintage equipment.

I wonder how 85 damper rod forks with race tech emulators or similar compare to the 86-87 forks?

Best of luck Jerry, and regardless of your results you've impressed a lot of people by showing a great attitude.

My dad races a vintage series on his 82 Yz 250. If he lets me I'll try to qualify next year but I probably wont make it!

What? Chad didn't hand-polish the cases like he used to do on RC's bike? Fail.

Kidding. I can remember trying to replicate RC's cases on my 03' CR. Spent 3 days with a variety of scotchbrite pads and never got them close. From that moment on...mad respect for Watts.

Yes jace made basically anything you see on the bike. Chad didn't have time to polish the motor on this build. However this is an 07 cr250 he built for me that Jerry road while his 85 was being done
