Did they penalize for doubling during the Red Cross flag?
I hope they don't charge him with anything. I would have to guess once he rolled the first jump, he saw he was clear and just sent the double. We'll see I guess.
Hope for the best, Prepare for the worst.
Jeremy gets the win, Adam the points. All things considered, jumping that double out of the triple PAST the downed rider did not effect the race.
Well, official results show him as the winner, but he only received 19 points which would be fourth place.
Maybe they just did a points penalty.
I like ac and was glad to seem him get a good ride, but at some point he needs to be taught that he cant just use the inside tough blocks as a berm without consequences for taking a bunch of other riders out
I think he broke the rules but Honda will tell the FIM and AMA they are pulling out of racing to sell more Civics, and Martin will win.
Too bad when things like this happen.
In my 60’s and still loving dirt scoots up here in the frozen north.

Not even the chicken gets the missing 7 points!

Nope.
AC was credited the most with 23 going by the results/points....it is odd.

A few years ago when Jason Ander
No different than last year with Webb and Peick. “points and purse equal to two positions in the final results for that race, plus two additional points.”
Martin gets the win, gets penalized, gets bonus money for winning (based on below).

I tried to edit my post. A few years ago when Jason Anderson won b/c someone (Villopoto???) Jumped on a medical flag they awarded him the full amount of 25 (back then)

I see...interesting.
Doesn't even seem like other riders could protest it(results awarded) based off that.
An unwritten set in stone points only penalty?
Thanks for posting that.
I am sure it will be a cluster f*%# as usual. Who needs common sense when you have the AMA involved. The AMA is nonsense!!!!

Interesting.
From the link Ted posted it changed in 2017.
He is pretty far out of the points anyway I’m sure he’s glad to just get credited for the win along with the win bonus money he gets and probably isn’t too concerned with losing some points regarding the penalty as it is as long as he’s not just a win in the record books and per his contract I’m sure he’s OK with it if you were closer in the points Chase I bet he be pretty bummed

After looking at the lap charts it's pretty obvious Martin slowed down quite a bit the last 3 laps he gave up about five second lead in the last 3 laps and Adam was still just a little under 5 seconds behind him really kind of a non-issue

J Mart was sitting on 119 points, only 12 back from Osborne, 5 back from Forkner, 2 back from Smith before getting docked. There's no way he's ok with this
James = #7. Malcolm = #27

Just read that. That's the dumbest thing ever. Its no wonder the FIM had to step in to save the AMA. If you're Tomac and points don't matter, only race wins, why obey the red cross if all you're going to lose is points? That's a stupid rule. I get it, sometimes riders miss the flag and it's a stiff penalty but the new penalty is a joke.
