in my memory he was only close to Cairoli the last 2 or 3 laps ...

just watched the race on youtube and the chart is correct ... only by the time Herlings was in to second he was about 20 seconds behind Cairoli , yet lapping 2 seconds faster as Tony ..so took him almost 10 laps to close that 20sec gap sounds like a possibility .. as he was real close the last few laps

Cairoli stated that he never had to go 100% and was very conservative during the race and did the minimum necessary to keep a comfortable lead.

Cairoli best lap time was: 1:54:699
Herlings: 1:57:436
Dungey (who was a few corners away to be lapped by Cairoli at the end of the moto): 2:00:442
