After hearing something like that we all could probably take a moment and be thankful for all the good things in our lives and forget about the not so good things(at least for a little while).

No tears to my eyes, and I'm pretty sure I'm not a better man than you... maybe it's the botched facelift?

Very impressive that he was able to ride AT ALL. True strength right there. And an accomplishment like that on behalf of his daughter will carry them through the mourning process. Great story.

My nephew (turned one the other day) struggles form a similar issue. I cannot imagine how he must be feeling. Jay and his family are in my prayers. I bet he never forgets this win and how he felt his daughters presence with him on the bike.

I can honestly say that Jay pulled in some strength that very few people on this planet could do. I know i would of never been able to do what he did. From this point on , i'm looking up to Jay as one of my heroes , and i'll be rooting for that guy every single race he is in! Congrats on your win Jay , and i'm so sorry for your loss. You are definitely a stronger man than I. Rest in Peace Lila.

Brought a tear to my eye watching it on t.v. Way to go Jay, for Lila!! He's only 1 point behind Reardon for the championship, with 3 rounds to go its looking like a 3 way battle for the title.

Thanks for stinking this up! I'm just joining up the threads here...It was the ride of Jays life under extrodinary circumstances. Winning is a small consolation for the loss of his little girl a few days before hand. She'll be looking down on her dad with a huge smile thinking what an inspiration he is to many for his strength of character.

Just goes to show that a topic title can have a lot of bearing on whether it gets clicked on or not.

Understably J looked hollow but focused through the nite. Very impressed with the way he held himself.
I was right near his family when he came over the line to take the overall and it was the greatest feeling knowing that the outcome was the best thing that could happen in the nights circumstance, nearly all of us wrenches on the line clapped and cheered it was just great
The Lila stickers were everywhere.
Best wishes to the Marmont family.
