You won't get a lot of post-race interviews from the new 450 champ. He was being interviewed in the press conference afterwards, and mentioned that he'd felt like he'd gotten food poisoning the night before. He then got the chills, asked for a sweatshirt, and peaced out on the press conference.

Apparently he'd also been sick during the day.

Get well soon, champ, and way to overcome some adversity late in the season.

On a serious note I thought his voice sounded kinda frail and not very energetic during the championship presentation. I could care less, I’m sure the last thing he wants to do right now is do interviews sick or not. Get the party started but don’t show up to hangtown hungover!

Hope he feels better soon Sad That would suck to win the biggest title of his life and not be able to enjoy the moment.

Get better Champ!

Can’t imagine the nerves he carried this last week. Body is probably saying, “enough is enough”.

How do spell relief?

Once he recovers, all the adversity of this weekend and last will make the win all that much sweeter!!! Congrats to you Jadon.

Yeah he was not doing good at all. He seemed sick as shit. To get chills like that to the point you have to get up and leave tells me your pretty damn sick.

In violation of my recent credo...

#21 deserves all that he EARNED.

The mistakes of others? They trashed opportunity. We have a worthy WINNER. Jason Anderson is clearly the 2018 Monster Energy Supercross AMA/FIM WORLD CHAMPION. Time cannot erase that fact.

Well done, Mr. Anderson.

What a tank. Cruises around to 5th being sick. I bet he was a train wreck when he woke up sick. Glad he sealed the deal.

Being sick , and still managing to put it all together at the final SX race of the year , to wrap up a championship? That is 100% boss right there! Great job Jason.....you deserve it!

I honestly thought he was getting a bit emotional and had a few tears on his face.... which I would understand. Respect level just clicked upward a few more notches for JA. Get well Champ, you earned it!!

Yeah I hung around the the husky pit after for well over an hour, Saw Zach celebrating, but only saw Jasons Mechanic roll back in and Rev it out for him.

That is nothing short of amazing. How the hell can you go put in a day of Supercross after puking all night and finish 5th? Mad respect.

How in the world did he get food poisoning? Does he grab something from the gas station on the way to the track? I would figure the riders meals are regimented and controlled for peak performance. That's incredible.

Eat greens and be safe? https://www.cdc.gov/ecoli/2018/o157h7-04-18/index.html

Ever travel for business? It is impossible to not eat in a space that someone else does not have a hand preparing the food. Every kitchen and hand in the process of making food can pollute the food.

The miracle is that food poisoning does not happen more often.

My humble opinion.

Driving out to Vegas, I stopped at the Flying J near Barstow. I got a couple slices of pizza (no judging on my food choices), and nicely asked the guy behind the counter if he could wash his hands before dishing them up. I'd seen him cleaning the bathroom a couple minutes before.

Are you saying JA ordered a slice before you asked him to wash ?

That Flying J is suspect at best.

C'mon, man, going into a Flying J is like visiting the Walmart for truckers. A constant source of entertainment. Wink

When I do the summer tour, it's a frequent stopping point.
