Anyone know what happened? He didn’t get a good start but started dropping like a rock later in the race too. He is usually a hard charger and makes his way forward through the race.
He said " day 1 don't expect much " on his instagram. Guess he meant it.
I have always liked Anderson, but I wondered if he would lose his motivation after he won the title in 18.

He was moving forward for a little while, I assume made a mistake somewhere and struggled to make moves like everyone else not named Osborne or Ferrandis (There may have been others but I'm just saying it looked very hard to do)
I think there had to have been some sort of incident right?? He was running 8th/9th the entire race and then last couple laps he drops to 15th and gets lapped? Can't be just tired.
He was running like 8th and TV showed how Ferrandis just passed him outside like he was amateur or problem with bike. After that he dropped like one position per lap like he had flat tyre or something.
He left Aldon because it was too structured and too much work. I have no insider info, but if I was a betting man, I’d bet that he didn’t work nearly as hard this off season as he has in prior years.

Got a source stating he left because it was too much work?

I'm not saying he's not putting in the work because I don't know, but he did say something along the lines of "I left Aldon because I wanted to have more fun, it's what works best for me".
Usually, people don't perceive having fun and hard work to go hand in hand.
That said, I personally don't think there's anything wrong with having fun if you're putting in the work, but if there's no one there to keep you in check and that fun starts hindering the work, that's a problem.
Besides, Tomac didn't get a top 10, so I guess the defending champ didn't put in the work in the offseason. 🙄
It's the first race people. Let's maybe wait after we're a few rounds into the series before starting to speculate there's something wrong with so and so.

You guessed that ET and JA didn’t put in the work....then followed it up with “it’s the first race people. Let’s maybe wait after a few rounds into the series before starting to speculate there’s something wrong with so and so.”
Got irony?
Outside of 2011 and 2019, Jason usually comes in ready to go. He has never been a great starter but he powers his way up front.
2011 - Rookie year. Gets caught up in Mookie’s crash but Finishes a respectable 7th in a strong 250 field.
2012- Gate malfunction causes a lot of issues. He literally starts dead last and fights his way up to 7th.
2013 - Mid-pack start and pushes his way to 4th. At one point almost passed Seely for 3rd.
2014 - Epic race between him and Seely. Passes Seely with two turns to go and wins.
2015 - 450 debut. Finishes 2nd keeping decent pace with healthy Ken Roczen.
2016 - Starts mid pack and passes almost all of the top guys to win.
2017 - Bad start and fights his way to 4th.
2018 - Top 10 start, works his way to 2nd.
2019 - Struggles big time. Goes from 3rd to outside of top 10. Never looked like himself before getting injured.
2020 - Bad start. Works his way to 5th on a difficult track. Top 5 rider for majority of the year.
He definitely doesn’t have the swagger he did in his championship year which is also the same year he stopped working with Aldon. He’s my favorite rider and in no means is he bad now, it was just very uncharacteristic to see him drop like he did.

He quoted someone else’s post...re-read it and you and Mav are on the same page

I believe it was in the preview show where they mentioned him leaving because it was to much. I’m not saying he’s not putting in the work because I really like Anderson.

The Shop
It’ll be interesting to see who gets lost in the shuffle Tuesday.
Let's see what happens now with out Aldon
Pit Row
You can't have an off night or your going to be at the back.

Laps 23-27 were :50-:52
( for comparison Tickle was running :47s at the end)
Fitness, arm pump?
