Will the Japanese ever see the demand and offer a 350 off-road or mx based Bike?
i realize the powers that be can’t see the use since the AMA really handicaps the cc size there but damn it would be sweet if they offered a kit for 250cc bikes.
A 450 de sleeve just seems silly because you can’t get rid of that rotating mass but a 250 stroker big bore would do it.
It’s just right for woods riding and feels really light on track.
Maybe a pipe dream but as moto seems to be on the rise maybe we can get lucky who knows.

In my world it is the ultimate CC size. You can get a 300cc kit for a 250 or a 400cc kit for a crf450 from Honda red moto in italy. But i really like the feel of a ”big 250” and not a small 450.
Still, if you ride all of them back to back with a reasonably valved spring system there's a substantial difference.
The ability to use one setting and have a good feeling from track to track is the big upside with the standard two-spring / two cartridge forks. The AER would actually be a great fork if you only ride one track or one location 95% of the time. Most of my buddies (and myself) go to a ton of different types of tracks.
Regarding the 350 engine... That might be the best engine in the history of the sport. I'm a seriously thinking about a GasGas or KTM 350. I picked up a spare set of KYB cartridges in case I decide to go that route.
