Awesome, thanks for sharing man, I didn't realise it was at Meihan until I heard it on the broadcast, that is super cool 👍

Jo walked it as expected despite a few little hiccups, but was cool to watch even just on YouTube.

The commentary was the pinnacle of hilariously bad commentary, sheeesh, crazy. I was hoping it'd be a seriously hyper 3 or 4 dude panel for announcing, all in Japanese, like with most Japanese drifting like D1, that absolutely makes it for me, you can hear how excited they are and how much they love it even if I only understand a few words haha.

Oh and you didn't happen to snap any pics of the number 3 Kawi this weekend did you? Just curious if anything has changed visibly 👍

‘Zook riders did pretty well, but even the works bike still has a kick starter.

Edited to add: the #19 is an 85 from the ladies class.

The #3 looked the same visually. Completely new covered with current plastic.

I'm only on a small Phone screen, so it's difficult to work out what it is.

A 125, or, perhaps, an 85?

I believe that’s the 2-stroke (85?) raced in the Ladies class.

Suzuki Japan does not contest the Japanese championship as far as I’m aware so you will not see a prototype bike there.

I definitely saw you...you are one large individual!

Boom, we left before the end of the 2nd moto to avoid traffic, so I'm not sure how bad of an ass-whoopin' he put on them that time, but in the 1st moto, he won by almost a minute on a track he was turning 1:37 lap times on.

i was going to go... but the drive down and back with a 7 and 4 year old would have been killer on my patience.

I'm glad Jay also kept his win streak happening.

I can't say I blame you on that one. My family and I drove down from Yokosuka (almost 6 hours), but my kid is almost 17, so it was a piece of cake for him. We stayed in Nara and went sight seeing all day Saturday, so that made the long drive a bit more worth it for the family than just watching the race.

Jay's a pretty cool dude (fast as hell, too). I stopped him after moto 1, because I was confused when they started popping champagne on the podium. I asked if it was only a 1 moto format, and he said no, in Japan, they do a full podium ceremony after each moto. I'd never seen that before, but I guess it has something to do with a sparkling wine company who sponsors the series.

Haha! Quite a lot of foreigners there on Sunday! Are you planning on making anymore national rounds? First time I practiced at Meihan weekend before the Kinki series(oh yeah baby) and the track was tough!.. Ill be back though!

Joe has been racing pretty much every weekend since January, so its to be expected he would do well racing guys who have only raced 3 national rounds and maybe some local races this year. I sincerely wish MFJ would increase the rounds...its like 7 this year.

I’m thinking about hitting the Saitama round at the end of next month. It’s only about 2 hours from me, so that’s a lot easier to do in one day than Nara.

Awesome. Saitama normally pulls a decent crowd. I highly recommend the SUGO GP Nov 12/13. Haven't heard anything yet but hopefully some more international talent attends. Jett IA1 and Hunter IA2 would be insane. Wonder how much $ that would cost Honda? ML?

Asian countries typically have been wearing masks for many years, long before covid.

Out of courtesy for others when they are feeling unwell, air pollution in big cities, sometimes it’s nice to go unrecognised when you are from certain wealthy families.
