Dang he was on it in the beginning of the race until losing the front end. I bet he would have won the race had that not happened. Yes I know it did though, he will be back strong next weekend trust me.

coulda shoulda woulda. Huge fan but

the only thing he had was the inevitability that sooner or later he was going to crash in a main event and blow a load of points

How do you work that out? he went down on the first lap!

I think your love for James is clouding your judgement.

Dude, i like your stuff....but Alessi was gapping him on first lap, and he went down on his own.. In my point of view he really was not "on it"....

James did NOT have it. He himself said he rode tight in his heat. That is racer talk for SLOW. Something happened between practice and the night show. The track went away from the 7 and they did NOT have the speed. What happened to new James? He should have got what he could... THIS is the knock on JS. When he has a bad day...he loses a TON of points (A1 and Atlanta). When RV has a bad day...he finishes P5. THAT is why RV will be champ....and I am a huge JS7 fan.

Good point. He probably won't have much to say about this.

Atlanta was a technical track which James loved. I honestly believe if he didn't make the mistake he would have been gone. But that's why they race 20 laps.

James had it....

right up until the point where he didn't have it.

Tough race for Stewart.

Villopoto taking the "smart Dungey plus a little extra" approach seems to be working at this point.

Hopefully nobody gets injured and they take it to Vegas for the final decision.

I think bubba would rather see villo in front of him then alessi.

All I know is there's still a shit ton of racing left and a bunch of guys that can still mix it up out front.

10 races to go...

JS tied with RC for second on all time win list....

James lost the front same as RV has gone down the very same way. Setup that works on one part of the track doesnt work so well on other parts. James just had a bit of bad luck, just glad he isnt injured from it.

And the worst part, RV is letting a foreigner beat him straight up! Embarrassing for America

Embarrassing for America? Its not a Us vs Them deal. Im very happy for Roczen! American has plenty to be embarrassed about , but its not our MX/SX racers.

I don't really consider Kenny so much a " foreigner " much any more. Kid's been here a while and has honed his skills to be very competitive in the usa SX and Nationals. He's come quite a ways in not on his riding , but his training as well. You should be thankful that previous GP guys come here to compete.....it makes our series stronger when they do.

Yep, Kenny seems like a good respectable guy all the way around. RV on the other hand seems like a douche.

Aldon is Roczens new trainer. I would guess Aldon will still be with Roczen next year, RV not so much.

I do. He wasn't gapping him. oooh! burn!

(Or if he did he gapped the rest of them too. Alessi ran a really good pace that first lap, a pace that both Dungey and Villopoto didn't match until lap 3, if you'd like to refer to official timing.)

I havent watched it on TV yet but we were sitting right in that section and in his heat RV was sliding the front tire almost every lap in that same spot. We were all saying that it was only a matter of time before RV washed the front tire out and crashed but he managed to pull it off every lap. I have no idea how but he did. James just wasnt as lucky as RV.

Kooks like you make normal folks want to jump off the JS bandwagon just to distance themselves from you.

I hear you, I've got my fingers crossed. Anything can happen between now and Vegas.
