Dude shredded on a YZ125 against a field of 250F's and ran second until the white flag and he was passed. He gets on the podium and is asked why he ran a 125. his answer The bike is so much fun to ride and I had a blast on it

Kudos Jake. Jesse is proud of you!

You guys should have heard him wringing that bike out!

Its so crazy, he got 3rd place on the 125 and there were so many around him, you would think he won. I like the way he carries himself. Mom and dad did a good job.

He rips from a few vids I've seen. Big props to their whole family or keeping going too, pretty amazing!

The youngest Ty was making other kids look bad at Daytona 2 years ago. He was hitting a couple of big jumps of course the other mini Dads were screaming at their little ones to jump those also. After a couple of ambulance rides they made the call that they could not hit those jumps or they'd be DQ'd. Never saw that happen before but he would have had a 5 second plus a lap advantage.

I posted this a while back but will post again. The Masterpool's are a great family and cool to see the boys are still racing after Jessie's accident. Jake was just a little terror with no interest if really riding when he was younger and Ty was just a baby. Now they are growing up railing on the track. Oh is Ty racing? Anyhow here is a link to the video. http://www.motoxaddicts.com/2014/06/18/brotherly-love-meet-jake-and-ty-…

So I introduced myself to Mom and Dad Masterpool today. No wonder the kids are so awesome. Mom and Dad are solid and humble human beings. We need more like them.

I don't know if many people know this but Tara Eberhard(Mom Masterpool) was kind of a big deal back in the early days of snowboarding. And Jerry trained most of the top US and Canadian racers at one point.

1991 Transworld Readers Poll
The first ever awards show was held on March 20, 1991 (five years after the first issue of TransWorld SNOWboarding debuted in 1987) at the Shark Club in Las Vegas. It was a reader polled awards show instead of pro rider polled. (The ballot was in a previous issue and the page was marked up and mailed in by TWS readers.) The simple categories and the list of winners reads like a roll call of all that was cool about snowboarding.

Best All-Around: Craig Kelly, Tara Eberhard

Best Racers: Peter Bauer, Tara Eberhard

Best Halfpipe Riders: Craig Kelly, Tina Basich

Best Freeriders: Damian Sanders, Tara Eberhard

Most Extreme: Damian Sanders, Bonnie Leary

I did not know that about Tara. That is awesome. I knew Jerry did a lot of training back in the day. He had a track in Reno and would train a lot of locals. They def are great people. Jesse was a top notch young man. I lost touch with them after they moved out Reno to do nationals. Super stoked to see Jake is having fun and riding fast.

Watching Jake shred through the pack from a bad start in Schoolboy was so impressive today.

I remember when he was just a tiny little kid with both front teeth missing who was so stoked to come talk to all of my friends and I at the track on race day. I know Jesse is looking down at both his little brothers with a big smile.

Was this School boy class? If so I will be rooting for him when he turns pro... Sounds like he will for sure! Never even seen the kid but from what I've read I already like him. Humble is the way to be! Way to go Jake!
