Chad is still a podium threat in the right conditions. Hard to ignore how fast he was at San Diego this '16 season.... Getting pretty late...

Getting pretty late in the season to not have a ride. Especially for a rider like James. For a sport we all view as big. You break it down to how many guys really can make a living riding SX and or MX today. Not a whole lot. Thinking the 80's and 90's may have had more riders who didn't get rich. But had rides and that was their full time gig. Racing.
What makes you think he does not have a ride?

Like OK James you want a ride

100k salary

big bonus for top 3

potential to make millions if you win

if you don't nice try

Not saying James would do it but his rides seem very limited on top tier teams and I don't see how anyone would shell out a million+ on him with the shape he's in and his results.

So it may be his only choice if he wants a good ride.

The top teams are already full (not including RCH/Yosh) and what teams are out there that could pay the bonus if it happened?

Look, I get that it's highly unlikely. Make that highly, highly unlikely. But what if it does happen on a "lesser" team. Someone has to write that check.
Would have to use an insurance contract to fund it. Even with reed "ruining" It a few years back I'm sure you could find someone at Lloyds to tak that bet. I'll give you $100k no matter what, and if James wins th championship you pay him $1m. I'd take that bet all day long lol.

Brayton is just as much signed to MCR as Roczen is to HRC at this point. He's been riding the bike. This leads me to believe they won't have JS7, unless they decide to field four bikes which I'd say is a 1% chance.

They would be cheaper and less problems and finish more. Face it James does not have the same up side he did two plus years ago. And no top factory team wants him. The expenses it cost to support a rider is a lot more than it used to be.

Would it be out of the question to throw stew on Albertsons team with a 450 considering their relationship with seven

James to MotoConcepts or similar, not RCH??....I believe it, no one else is going to touch him. Time to get it in gear James and make a strong comeback. You can't come back to the line wearing a winter coat again...

James still has the name recognition for an outside sponsor. I'm not sure if Yosh fills the void that Jimmy John's left or not. But if they still want a big name sponsor James will help with that whether he is first or last.
I'm going to quote myself here.....Matthes said there are some rumors of this actually happening.

Would also be more productive for James to throw more money at this existing team through his seven sponsor...and make a spot for him and his brother. It has everything he needs right now.

Js7 has ridden 3 bikes this offseason.

I will be very curious to see what he comes away with.
I'll bet one of the bikes is white.

To finish more than one race the entire season and most likely finish 6th through 15th in points. James will be lucky to make it out of the first round without some sort of issue.
