Rumor is they tried to convert him to and indian but he didn't like the name they gave him.

"Manjunatha Tahana"

It means fluffly bunny feet I guess.

Hello chief mcdaniels here of Dalton Georgia I am an avid motocross rider and long time fan. After seeing all these post on the sponsoring I just wanted to get the record straight on mellonhs. He is not in fact a swat member what so ever. He does part time gig doing mall security and has never even owned a dirtbike nor riden one. I don't know why he was say something so stupid with the falken tires but spare him a bit cause he is in fact retarded

Maybe do a little research before shooting off with this??????
SM does a lot for the SX series and motorcycle riding for their tribe.
Ever think of positive exposure?

Native American tribes receive federal funding, along with the money they can rake in on casinos (which is legal, since they are considered a sovereign nation). I'm not sure if San Manuel Mission Indians, owns a bunch of casinos, but where I live in Oklahoma, the Chickasaw Nation, and other tribes, have them scattered all throughout the state. As a result, in addition to the federal funding, these tribes have tons of cash flow. For example, the Chickasaw Nation (in Oklahoma) actually has more money than the actual state of Oklahoma!

Someone with that tribe, probably just thought it would be sweet to sponsor a race team and get their name out there? Who knows....

The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians is the wealthiest Indian Band in North America.
They sponsor the team to race supercross. They also are a major sponsor of the supercross series.
They have not sponsored the team to race outdoors, and if they were interested, I think you would see them at the races.
Anyone who has not noticed how prominent their banners are at the supercross races is blind.
They do alot more than just sponsor Jame's team, but so far they have only been interested in the supercross series.
