Last night I was watching the 09 SX season. James looked much more aggressive and his corner speed seemed better. I am of the belief that the riders use a ton of bottom end power now. This allows them to roll through corners controlled and then pull the trigger out of them.

I think he looks out of shape and I think his tire pressure is about 2psi to low and the suspension is a tad too soft in the front and he should back off on the rebound 1 click on the shock. and the handle bars need about a 1/4 inch off the left and spot on on the right. I can really tell all of this just by looking at a 1 second clip just like you can tell how comfortably he looks. Blush

He looked real good in the video that that clip came from. When I watch any of the top riders I always think that they look amazing but watching JS7 when he is on is on another level. He looks like he was born to ride a dirt bike.Smile

I remember watching that race thinking "Holy shit he's going to kill himself trying to beat Desalle. Either he's not in shape, his bike setup is wrong or both." Granted, he was still on a SX only contract. I thought he looked fine on the Yamaha in SX. He could ride an XR400 and look good on a SX track.

I think James is gona come out swinging this year. I think he knows this may very well be his last attempt at another sx title. I also think Trey Canard is gona be hard to beat, along with 3, maybe 4 others, and we all got a good idea of who will be a condender and who won't. Stewarts got the speed for sure, and I wanted him to win so bad the last 4 years, but now I have to go with Canard..

This is why I feel Stewart, Reed, Villopoto, Carmichael, and McGrath are the gods of this sport. The other riders are just as fast, and awesome guys. But there just seems to be something special about those five. I know some will be upset and say Hannah, Johnson, Ward etc.
