Would love to hear (or read) your analysis of how this has anything to do with the SX/MX side of JGR

no secret they are tired of spending their own money on keeping mx team going...........if they win this project it is a whole company, ie: Dallara to supply frames to the whole sport...........massive addition that makes money but also will require big investment......why keep spending money on something that doesn't add anything to the bank account...........yep pure speculation but seeing the road this has gone down could be the last straw for Joe

It seems that you are unclear on how JGR is set up. Coach Gibbs isn't pouring a cent into the MX program

I would be surprised that if JGR does return next year they are still running Suzuki. I could see them with Kawasaki, Yamaha or maybe even Gas Gas as a long shot. Regardless of the brand, I don't see it happening at all without a title sponsor putting up some significant money.

I hope JGR stays around past 2020, I think we all do. However, they need to part ways with Suzuki (seems like that is inevitable with Suzuki's situation) and build a new relationship with an OEM. I think Kawasaki would be a great candidate, as there is not a satellite team out there. I know there is Bowers, and the Catanzaro/A-Ray deal but I'm talking more like a real factory-supported satellite team like RMATVMC-KTM. This works for Kawasaki because PC is always pumping out riders who need rides. The only glitch here would be the PC support for a 450 team, as JGR is also doing its own in-house engine program that it sells to the public. And of course the 250 team would be dead.

Also, maybe like Standing Construct in MXGP, we see GasGas have a presence in North America. That could easily be RMATV-MC, but if not then maybe JGR gets to ride red pumpkins in 2021?

The giant stack of cash that this will generate for JGR stacked on top of the giant stack of cash they already have just from their dealerships would help fund the purchase of sx if they wanted to......the running of a team for them is chicken scratch!

My analysis is that it has zero to do with it.

Running the Jgr motorcycle team at a loss would save him a shit tone of tax wouldn’t it? Or is it different over there?

They going racing in 2020 and that means another season in which to find a title sponsor. They have a solid setup with good people in every department.

Wish them all the best.

I never understand this argument. I would much rather pay taxes at 30% than burn 100%.
