Hmmmm, well, even if it's not the bike, if he thinks it is, then his situation won't change.

He's gonna have to figure out how to ride it, cause he's stuck with it for 3 years.

Remember when JMB would tell the Honda techs what changes to make for the SX races and then they would apply them to Stanton's bike? Then at the last minute JMB would tell them to change it all back and there wouldn't be time to change Stanton's. LOL Some people know what they need to win and some are dependent on others to know for them. Guess we know where JS7 fits in.

I hope your joking.

I seriously doubt Stewart will ever be in on the same team as Reed.

Yamaha decided to centralize the mass it was in order to get the bike to corner better and feel lighter. By the laws of physics on that alone, a bike with more centralized weight will be more likely to rotate, or swap, when the rider wants to keep it going in a straight line. At least in contrast to other machines that have more weight towards the ends. I've never ridden one at Stewart's pace, so that's just like, my opinion, man...

Minus the fact James is probably making killer money and setting up his future in car racing, it would be sad to see the last three years of his career continue the way things are going.

I think Stewart wants to be on Zooks, or KTMs. He needs to buy a 250sx and do the SX series.

By day I work as a mechanical engineer. I've thought exactly the same thing you just said ever since the bike came out in '10. I think this is the silver bullet, and would explain why the bike is ok on a groomed track, but falls apart once things start getting rough.

Just my opinion though.

My brother's housekeepers cousins pool maintainer said he has already bought new models of each and is trying them out. Only time will tell if its a good idea or not.

It's the dreaded Yamahop. The Yamahop has been around a lot longer than Stewart or modern YZF's. I tried vintage racing a 74 YZ250A. Talk about scary, the back end would occasionally pass you on a straight. Handled like someone left the swingarm bolt out. The 77 YZ250/400 was so bad they issued a recall or technical bulletin on the swingarm. Even my 81 YZ250 handles a little twitchy. Not to mention the 81 probably weighs as much as Stewies 450. JS7 probably just needs a DG or Cross-Up swingarm on that thing to cure the problem. Gotta be 1 inch longer than stock.Smile
