I thought I had read somewhere that they had resigned with Yamaha for next year ? I was informed that it hasn't been decided yet and there could be a different colored bike under their tent next year after all.....

Not trying to start another thread where everyone is going to speculate with their own "what if" content. But if anyone that REALLY has information on this, I'd be interested in hearing it. I'm not stirring the pot either, this is real life shit. Wink

Toyota owning a small piece of Yamaha...Toyota and Joe Gibbs..years of development on the Yamaha. No chance they switch brands..

That has been the common beleif, but saying there's NO CHANCE isn't exactly accurate. There's definitely been some negotiating going on, you can take that for what it's worth.

this whole 'years of development' argument is pointless if you are not winning.

If this 2nd team rumor is true, seems logical it would be a 250 team. Sure seems there's a lot of teams either shifting / adding focus to the 250's while some 450 SX teams are rumored to be going away. Most of the rider signings confirmed and rumored are for 250 teams.

Is it possible Feld's going to an all 250 program in 2018?

I would seriously doubt that. They would make an announcement for news that big

Can somebody tell me what the deal is with nicoletti? Is he an official JGR rider like barcia because he 's running another set of decals ( N-FAB ) or is he the test rider or what? Just wondering because he allready has his deals locked up with JGR when guys like peick and tickle arent signed yet..

ML definitely jumped the gun, but in the end he will more than likely be right.

tickle and peick looking for a full time sx+mx deal where else phil may be happy with his role as fill-in rider for sx and full time mx and jgr definitely wants to have fill-in rider. so it's a no brainer.
he is a official jgr rider with additional support by nfab who already supported him when he stepped up to the 450 class and wasn't signed by jgr.

Yes true...I guess what I meant is that their aftermarket parts business development is geared toward the Yamaha..

Suzuki going away their factory program like Yamaha did in 2010 and JGR becoming the unofficial official factory team.

Prior to turning Pro at Unadilla this year you did some of the bigger Amateur Nationals without much significant support, right? That’s true. It was just my dad and I, but then halfway through the year Justin Barcia started helping me out some. He got me a practice bike and paid for any services that I needed done by JGR. For a long time it has just been my dad helping me out and doing whatever he could to get me to the races. Justin helped me near the end of my Amateur career and really stepped in at those two outdoor Nationals. Now going forward, Justin has really stepped up. He is helping me race Supercross in 2016. He bought me a couple bikes and is helping me get the bikes set up.

After the nationals ended Barcia stepped up to help Weltin put together a program for the 250SX East Region. Weltin also picked up a lot of support from JGR and he rides at the team shop in North Carolina from time to time.

That's too bad. The kid had a lot of hype, which creates pressure. Hope he can figure it out and come out swinging.
