They found out not long ago that his injury didn't heal right, so they basically had to go back in and redo the surgery. So he's out for the year, probably until 2020 unfortunately.

Is it expected that he will make a full recovery? Wish him all the best.

He was supposed to after the first surgery, but obviously that didn't work out. I would guess if this recent one did the trick it should be though.

I hope for the sake of his health and future outside of the sport that he makes a full recovery and is able to avoid chronic issues. Such a good guy.

If you look at the fracture itself it doesn't look like an easy fix for any doctor. I hope the best for him.

fused vertebrae is tough to make a full recovery from, but top athletes have done it before in extreme sports. hope he gets back to a normal life but I wouldnt be shocked if he didnt race pro mx/sx anymore.

My mom had a similar injury and procedure at age 50 and was back to competitive horse-riding a year and a half later. I'm pretty hopeful J-Mart will be alright!

J-Mart will be just fine, look at Christian Craig, not the same injury but close. These surgeries have come a long way.
