We'd seen reports of everything from a wicked hangnail to a broke wrist for Jason Lawrence after Phoenix. After checking in with him, we got a bit of good news, and he said that he'll be 100 percent for A2.

As a wildcard now, it should be even more interesting.

Good to hear, hopefully he can pick it back up and mix it up with Dungey and Weimer.

haha. Hangnail. I wonder how long a bruised ego takes to recover from if you're J-Law.....

I still think it's disappointing for the championship that J-Law and Canard are out though - I was pumped after A1....now, not so much.

I wonder if JLaw has ever hurt his Jaw? The Jlaw/jaw incident?

Are they out? I thought Jay came back from the same position to win it all last year? And Canard may not have a chance at a championship but he could play a big part in it. Think what would have happened had he run into RD?

Realistically I'm thinking yes. I can't see either of them coming back to win the championship. RD seems much faster this year. I just cant see them making up that much ground on him and Weimer.

The same thing that happened to JLaw could happen to anyone. Last year a particular kid by the name of Austin Stroupe on a Mitch Payton Pro Circuit Kawi didn't make the main either. It happens, especially when you start getting nervous. Look what happened to Dungey last year. I think he gets rattled pretty easy. Especially after this whole One Industries crap he pulled.

Anything can happen, but it would have to happen to Weimer, Morais, Brayton....etc. He is 29 points down after round 2.

My point exactly. The likelihood of a handful of riders giving up that many points is pretty low. Not saying that either one wont have an impact on the championship though....I could see J-Law handing the championship to Weimer if you know what I mean Wink

Can he go race the east coast lites class? Not sure on the new ruling but it used to be anyone outside the top ten can switch. He's sitting tenth right now and if he sat out until the east series fired up he would be well outside the top ten...if that even matters.

If that's possible that would be a smart move.

Wow....it doesn't sound like it should be possible....

I don't think he would do that....he likes messing with Dungey too much

I believe once you take a start on one coast you cannot race the other which would preclude the riding East thing. Now that he is just racing for the individual win it could be interesting.

The pressure of a championship has forced Dungey into big mistakes in the past. Looks like we will see if he can get the monkey off of his back this year.

Life changes. People change. I hated his image during his antics but something inside me tells me he is a better racer than RD and his best is yet to come.
Wow. What a difference a year makes. I hated Jason and Chad but now they are my favorites. Guess I go for the underdogs. Nothing against the other guys. They are all amazing on the track.

Man, this 250 series is going to be awesome!!

I can't wait for the drama to unfold!

It's only just getting started between those two.

that's good news, the racing will still kick ass.

why did "jlaw" suck ass this weekend though, was he injured? he picked some real shitty starts and then in the lcq he was about 6th and there was a pile up and he just stopped..then he sucked after that and didn't look like he was really charging. why?

Dude haven't you noticed J-Law's EGO is tough as nails.
Heck after a bad night like he had...he was up in the booth talking on the webcast and having fun interviewing some hot chic.

I think we EXPECT that to happen.

Other than winning races, I'd say JLaw's number two priority would be to, shoot (LOL), ensure Dungey does not get his #1 plate.

I think if Jason wants to keep his AMA license he is going to have to let that fish go.
Anything overt to interfere would probably get him pulled and since the team this year is on his dime.....
Might not be a good idea.
