What happened to Jason Lawrence? The YOT rider was a favorite to win but was seen enjoying himself until early in the morning at the Standard Hotel during one of the nightly Monster Energy parties the evening before the race. He also showed up in a bright red mid-life crisis car that probably cost him a hundred grand or so. In case you hadn’t heard, Jason hit rock bottom a few weeks ago and is in the process of getting things sorted out and getting back on the right track. So far, so good…

"bright red mid-life crisis car "

Mid life crisis at 21? That can't be good.

So was he being sarcastic when he said "so far so good"? If not, I don't get it, saying he is on the right track but right before that saying he's still staying out late on the nights before a race

It was a X games race; stop beating on the guy. Or better yet...let those without sin cast the first stone.

Good point. But are these "monster parties" involving all the monster athletes and workers. If they are throwing them for the riders and stuff why wouldn't he go. Isn't he supposed to as a monster rider?

Until early in the morning? That race was during the day. I am guessing he stayed up all night to sleep or come in 9th trying.

I went into the pits early in the morning on saturday and was kind of looking for him. His car was already there at 9 and I guess he was in his motor home.

More people probably watched the X Games race on TV than all of the Nationals combined.

I wonder which location he was at; I didn't see him at the Hollywood one. I saw some people from the X-Games though.
