I was there. Feel so lucky to have watched some of the best grow up in person every weekend at the different Florida series. I have seen them do crazy stuff on 80s especially James. James did some crazy stuff I thought impossible quite a few times. Rc rode hard gate to checkers every time and just won everything and Travis was and is still Travis when he was here. Good times.

I'd love to hear some stories then..
I grew up in the same age group wishing i was able to race in America at the same time as these people. ANY stories at all make me smile. I'm the same with people older than me, mainly people who grew up in the 50s with all the big cars and then the space race, but nothing beats inside stories of the greats on minis.
It's all about why did they get signed as a kid. for me. It's what they did as a kid that got them to where they went and now even that is the past......man, life goes so quick.
Number 27 is Matt Walker. This was posted a few months ago. Here is Walker and Fonseca

Someone really should have told Fonseca his low rider Yamaha was not really a good set up for racing.

The number 27 got me. I am pretty sure Nick Wey was a team green rider as a mini. Matt Walker was one of my favorite riders when he was on pro-circuit. I will have to see if my brother still has vhs film of Brian Swink (RIP) on his kx80 when a lot of the Michigan riders would come to Florida for the winter am's. Good times back then.
here we go
