Steve has been doing Pulp. Podcasts and written Op-Eds were/are the meat and potatoes (which is not Vital).

Is this different from Pulp? Is it Pulp rebranded and goosed?

What it looks like is Steve M does his usual thing, but fans can throw a rumor or story and he can vet it.

And the forum; what's the objective? Big Lenny free for alls? Vital churn? Mototalk lethargy? MXInsiders? Some evil Canadian plan to respawn MXForums?

Not trying to say anything about you personally Rex.

It looks to me like ProMotoTalk is an attempt to gain a chunk of the forum market. Good for Matthes, it's cool to put more info out there. It just irks me to see his forum being linked when he talks so much shit about this place.

Are you guys serious? Have you checked the site out before commenting? Yes, it has a forum (so does Pulpmx) but it's far from a competitor to Vital MX boards. It's a site where one can go and read up on the news of the day from various moto sites, get some editorial on said news and a link to the story.

If anything, we're increasing the traffic to Vital with Promototalk.com. it's for that guy that wants some rumors, some gossip in the pits as well as someone who does not surf the web all day and wants one place to go to catch up on the news of the day before going to bed.

pulp is all articles and editorials with podcasts and the live show page.

ProMoto is a place where you get a consolidation of hot topics from alot of different sites and commenting on the topics with some true insider commenting on it plus uptodate gossip and rumors from the inside, not some jack weasel trying to be mr insider and making things up from his home in iceland.... think the news part of mototalk, updates like twitter but no character limit, and add in links to various other sites to see whats new/hot and steves take on it.... as in you dont have to goto mxa, rxill, trans, vital ect and wade thru things, you get to those sites str8 to the meat of things... here was shooting stars from each, a link to take you to them, and comments on the link in general.

Dunno, but it will be interesting to see where it goes. Some of us have been bitching about lack of info, maybe naive to think this could shred some light, but it's worth a try to watch where it goes? I figure the initial ride could be a bit bumpy and all, and maybe it the end a bit mainstream, but maybe will open some previous shut can of worms publicly or something! Wink
