I agree with this. I just know, unless tomac steps up over the whole series... Were about to have our first euro sx champion since jmb, which will be pretty cool to see.
Marv will be tough to beat for sure....but there are a few other riders in the mix that will not make it easy for anyone to just walk away with the title.
Honestly, I'd put money on Musquin over Roczen. There's no way of knowing how much Roczen's injury will affect him; both physically and mentally. It's also worth noting that Kenny has only completed 2 of his 4 seasons in 450SX healthy.
I'd say it's a little premature to write off that guy who won nearly 10 of the 17 races this year but that's just me. I'd also say it's a little crazy to put so much stock into these events, especially since they don't have SX whoops and the guy who won has historically struggled in that section.
Comeon....
It's not like he blew past Tomac and let him behind before Tomac crashed.
Tomac was as fast as Musquin in Race one. Before the restart and after it.
Musquin is great but the only top guy he beat at the MEC was Anderson.
Who thinks Tomac isn't able to beat Anderson 3 races in a row? He did that pretty much all season this year.
I have a feeling Anderson is gonna turn it up a notch this season. He’s always right there and usually healthy. One bobble or hiccup he will be there to capitalize. Seely was really looking good at the end of motocross as well. Seems like he’s got something going on himself. Going to be a good sx season. Musquin and tomac always have something going on dnf or slight injury.
Longggg time til the gate drops. Marvin winning MEC was great for him but cmon now he was racing against Anderson in a 1v1 LOL. A1 will be nothing like that. And I’m not even gonna mention RBSR that was a walk in the park

I agree. Tomac whooped everyone. Rode like a dummy for the first 4 rounds then killed everyone. Then we add in Kenny and a few other improved riders. Not gonna be a walk in the park
I think Marvin will win
And knock off at least ten overall wind Doing it
And not finish off the podium more than 1 time
Eli will be fast but
Has a lot of off weekends
At least per usual
I don't give much weight to either the MEC or RBSR in terms of who I think will win the Supercross title. I would say that Tomac is the favorite, but consistency has been a real issue for him, especially when holding the red plate.
Same goes for Roczen, who seems to be prone to the occasional spectacular crash. And if 2015 was any indication, it also seems as though he has hard time mentally blocking his previous mistakes. I think for 2018, Roczen's focus should be on getting back to form. Trying to push for a title too soon means risking another injury, which he cannot afford.
Anderson is too hot and cold to contend for the title, I think. Seely has consistency, but finishing 3rd to 5th every weekend isn't going to win you the title.
Marvin should be on the box week end and week out, and Dungey has shown that this may be the new formula to winning titles. However, the rumored change in points format may place a heavier emphasis on winning over consistency. That should play in Tomac's favor.
But it's hard to say that any rider is the clear favorite. Injuries have played too heavy a part in recent years to base title chances strictly on speed.

Marvin will be solid but cmon we are basing this talk off the MEC and RBSR. It’s hard to say he’s gonna dominate when Tomac dominated him and when Kenny dominated everyone the first 2 races and all MX season. Who knows maybe we will see a new Webb and Anderson.
Tomac got beat by a guy who struggled all season with no motivation. How sad is that.
On the other hand Marvin wasn't up front every race last year either. He looks really fast now, but we will see. I think it will be a good season to watch. Everybody's complaining about the lack of talent this year. I see a bunch of guys that are all inconsistent but fast, that is going to make for some good racing. Throw Webb, Tickle, Baggget in the mix and we may have ourselves a party.
Tomac is going to win it. He has been in front of marv more often than not all year. Was faster at mec. Sure he crashed and had consistency issues but is still higher in points. I think kenny is going to be lagging in sx. If kenny is up to speed, id expect a showdown between him and eli. Hope its a 3 way though. Those are always fun
