I think RV did not care because he was so close to dungey and had a strong chance of passing him that he was committed no matter what. Seeing dungey make it he decided to go for it anyways. RV was so close to winning the race. Although, safety in that oviodable situation is worth way more than a few points.

It definitely would have been interesting if RV had have won that race. That downed rider certainly got the hurry up once RV jumped the triple. I cant believe that they are seriously letting this one slide. They come up with a bogus over rule last week which goes against everything their timing system stands for, but a clear cut safety ruling is swept under the carpet because it was the points leader who commited the offence. He had so much time to shut off before that triple, but just left it pinned. And I agree with a few other posters that have said that it would have been dealt with completely differently if it was a different rider. This place would be in melt down mode if Stewart had have done the same thing.

Stewart got RV lead cut down to two seconds by the time of lightgate. Who`s to say he couldn`t catch him.? He lost more than three seconds on that lap.
