I don't remember any season hearing so much talk about the heat affecting the riders. It seems like every weekend now there are a few top guys putting in sub-par rides due to the affects of the heat.

I agree, this summer has produced the most heat related problems i have ever heard of. I can even say that i am way more effected by racing in the heat this year than i can remember. But then again, um what was i saying?

There is one very simple reason. Young people today are used to AC. The military is reporting that new recruits have a much lower tolerance for heat compared to the past. You can't acclimate when you live in AC 90% of the time.

Although it's hot today here, on the whole this year has been much cooler and wetter than normal for us. We've been having hot days (though not hotter than normal for the time of year) for a couple of days, then a week of cloudy/rain followed by cooler less humid weather--then repeat.

It's a brutal summer here in Atlanta. I can't even go outside for more than about 30 minutes. I was out with some weed killer the other night at 8:30pm just walking around spraying weeds and had to take a shower from sweating. When I ride on my track for 15 minutes or so I come in and I don't ever remember sweating that much. I don't see how these guys are doing 40 minutes.

I went to walmart and got one of those baby pools and made a water spicket in a 35 gallon barrell I had and filled the pool with water and ice and me and my kid revived after each moto. Im telling you if you get your core temp down you revive very well. P.S> eveyone was telling us they were getting one.
