Out of curiosity, who would you hire? He had a very solid season going before he got injured. He's got to be the most successful Yamaha rider stateside since Stewart.

I don't know, but some of these guys spend to much time with a factory ride with almost no chance of a title. I feel like every factory rider should be in contention.

So then theres what 4 or 5 factory riders in your mind? Tomac, Musquin, Roczen and Webb? They're the only one who were legitimate title contenders last year.

We're trying to create jobs not limit them. Not everyone can win a race and even fewer can win a title, be realistic dude.

Barcia certainly has a chance at winning titles. maybe not as good of odds as others, but the guy definitely has the potential. Each Factory usually has 1 rider capable of winning a championship KTM and Husky are the only teams that have more then 1 rider capable of winning, MM25, JA21, CW2, ZO16.

Barcia earned his job and has good rides in him however if we had the old numbering system his number would be 7-10. Nothing wrong with that.

Remember Barcia got hurt during Supercross and didn’t seem to ever get back in his groove. Let’s see what he does next year before we kick him to the curb.

Pretty sure Barcias pay grade on Yamaha doesnt indicate he should be a "title contender" this time around. He is still worthy of a factory ride no doubt, but both Barcia and Yamaha knows he isnt a title contender just yet.
I can´t imagine he gets payed even close to the sums of Tomac or Roczen for example. He probably did back in the Honda and JGR Yamaha days, but not anymore.
