Roczen and Herlings corner speed is higher than anyone else, you can't make the difference on the jumps anymore... the Bubba scrub is pretty standard these days even at low (amateur) level

Seems to me these guys don't test on a variety of tracks these days. I remember back in the 90's and early 2000's them taking the semis to a lot of different tracks to test.

Herlings would prob still win on Tomacs bike. Suspension is important, but rider style has the biggest influence.

Herlings & AC both have incredible techniques. Herlings can load & unload weight at the right time to allow the bike to flow through terrain so rough it's unbelievble. No sussy in the world does that for you.

If USA really want to catch up in the MX world. You need to stop hopping around in front of monster truck fans for 8 months a year, and come train in Belgium & Holland.

Why would our boys want to hang out in third world countries where it rains 345 days per year?

The fact Tomac spent 15 minutes of practice trying to fix his suspension yesterday shows that he's off, way off!

The problem is when you get used to a SX feel, it's also hard to go ludicrous speeds with a completely different feel!

He's been outdoors long enough now to understand that. Chances are he just wasn't good enough to run the pace of the top guys in the heavy conditions. His sussy adjustments are just clutching at straws.

Anstie was catching him untill he got unlucky with a rock hitting his hands. But that shouldnt really be so surprising, Ansie has raced in deep heavy conditions far far more then Eli & Anstie is great in the sand. Paulin also looked rapid yest with some bad luck.

15 minutes in the pits was more than clickers. My guess is they were softening the rear spring

Do you guys really believe that Euros don't sheer settings with ET and other US riders if needed, when they are staying under the same semi?

Sounds like Tomac has tried to change his bike to suite the track rather than just leaving it as it has been all season.

If this is the case then IMO this is silly mistake to make. Herlings came over and set his bike how he liked and rode the damn track and it worked. If it ain't broke don't fix it kinda thing

I think its more like the tracks are becoming the same, adding clay, adding sand etc, so the surface differences there used to be, are lessened... how can Marvin and Anderson spend all their time at the Bakers Factory, and have a setting that works , unless the tracks are so similar.

Plus the tracks are over groomed, MXGP does jump faces and thats it, unless its proper messy , even Lommel which was slaughtered after heavy rain on saturday wasnt redone totally, just the busted out bits.

The one day format and over groomed over watered tracks hasnt helped.. Ironman, Unadilla and the one before that (brian fade) were prepped expecting rain, and they were way better than the rut-o -cross we have seen .

Hopefully the track will be a bit drier today, its a shame a few more of the grown ups didnt show and put themselves out there.

there are technical touch guys who can help him out... New track so not much data available, maybe they use Kegums as a starting point? but, keep in mind this is a sponsor obligation

Actually, scrubbing is pretty rare these days... you see it, but it's in a flurry or a pass attempt. No one is legit Canard/Stewart scrubbing every jump every lap. Not even close.

They have a KYB tech on the team...my point was there isn't going to be a lot info sharing between the Kawi teams as the bikes are very different....and Eli was on a Honda at Kegums..

Upside down forks are the work of the devil and the sole reason for the decline in American motocross racing.
