It is pretty crazy. No matter how you slice it, that's an old bike beating a new bike that a lot of people rave about. Interesting at the very least.

It's the FMF/PBR Factory 'Murica Edition.

A newer gen CR I wouldn't be " that " surprised....but a 98'? Yeah.....pretty fucking crazy how Ronnie gets that thing to work.

Maybe we have all been taught the wrong riding techniques? Christ....I can't explain it! Mysteries of the fucking universe!!

Bikes have evolved very little since the late 90's. It doesn't really surprise me. I always get a bit of a chub when I see a dude on an old bike railing guys that have the latest and greatest equipment.

Idk man, straight rhythm is perfect for the 98 because he doesn't have to turn on it! Laughing

Getting a new bike with the latest bells and whistles is always nice, but it once again shows that it's mostly a load of bollocks. No substitute for being comfortable on what you have.

It's biggest flaw is flying nose high off the finish jump damn near every time. Other than that, pretty flawless bike.

*editors note*

Good gdamn thing there's no turns in this track.

One thing I've learned tonight....more PBR and less gym time could make me into a champion.

I will say that Uncle Ronnie is one of the most talented riders Ive ever been around. Still remember the year at Ponca when he won every moto he entered, which was/is a record (he ran like 5 classes). My point is, he is top level fast, but for whatever reason, he just hasnt been able to put it all together is SX or MX. I think it really speaks to how good of a rider he really is, especially on a ‘98 2T.

There is something in PBR that makes you super human. Pretty sure this was RC's secret weapon all those years. Even more sure it was MC's. Laughing

Why you talking about Albertson in a Ronnie Mac thread?

I clearly had a momentary lapse of reason.

Moral of the story, you gotta change your shock oil more than once every 20 years.
