He reminds me of a mix between Canard and Windham, picture perfect form, but so smooth he looks like a robot designed to ride in the most efficient way

I assume this would be a top down strategy from the team? Between how coy most teams have been in recent years about waiting until the last minute to announce which of their 250 riders are riding which coast, and how much unknown there is right now with the Geico team's depth of upcoming talent mixed with the uncertainty of who is staying in amateurs vs. planning on A1/SX vs. planning on Hangtown - vs. who isn't hurt or suspended......... I think it will remain a pretty fluid situation for awhile.

Can't imagine Jo Shimoda not sticking to the test track until East Coast in his rookie year though - yea?

Gotta imagine Honda would want to run a number 1 plate? I think Forkner and Ferrandis will be hard to beat next year. Ferrandis will prob get the outdoor title I think

I would definitely think Forkner will go west , he has been itching to ride and with such a long time off , I can't see him going east , unless he has a set back or something

Smooth as silk style that's even more impressive in person. Had the pleasure of watching him burn a few laps at Cahuilla Creek here in SoCal and was thoroughly impressed. He did a warm-up moto with the clutch sky high (tip-over or by design, I haven't a clue) rendering it unusable, and he was flat flying with no dips in power or miscalculations...Even on his practice 250F and at decent elevation.

IMO he has the smoothest riding style in the sport right now - it is mesmerizing to watch.

Beat me to it! Yes. He stands more than KW did (at least the older KW), other than that almost a clone.

Standing has always been the correct way to ride a dirt bike but things changed with Ricky. He sat a lot, or maybe he was standing. Hard to tell.

Do you reckon Honda is or was happy with him giving positions to Adam?

Everytime I see him ride I am more impressed with his form. Yes he looks like windham. Seems like a nice kid too.

Great style and technique, much like Windham but I would like to see him get more aggressive at times and have a little more attitude. Not saying he's getting pushed around but maybe needs to do more pushing. Not to get off topic but do you think the Geico bikes are down on power or more so torque compared to Star and other top bikes? It seems like they struggled on starts most of the year

More Stanton like to me. Windham had raw speed that not many could match. I don't see that in Sexton.

Pastrana once said Windham was the fastest rider he had ever seen on the practice track. Just did not always happen on race day.
