Is it a good idea to have the 250f follow 450 development?

Everyone has done this for current generations apart from Honda basically. What ever the 450 gets, the 250 gets the following year. I think it takes the edge and exclusivity of the 250 release, not to mention the fact the 450 and 250 are different engines, for different riders, for different riding styles, .

Not sure how many of yous like talking about marketing, but I just don't find myself interested in the YZ250f as we have seen it already for a year now

I don't want a 450, but it seems like the 250 upgrades mirrored the 450 in every aspect, despite the fact the 2 bikes had very different responses from professionals and weekend warriors, so why have them follow the same development?

Generally any 450 chassis with a 250 engine will handle better than the 450. If you can make a good handling 450, you are on your way to a good handling 250, IMO. Obviously it's not as simple as putting a 250 in a 450 chassis, but they are both made for the same thing so sharing development seems like a no brainer.
