Herlings is just a big fish in a small pond right now, nothing more.

Don't make this mistake, please Jefro. I never said I hate the kid because I don't know him. I said, textually: "I hate that kind of attitude". If you don't know how to win, how the hell are you gonna react when loosing? Well, watching at the whole season, we also know how he looses.

To be honest, I only remember one more time I was disappointed with a rider, and that was the Alessi/Tedesco incident. We and mmcmx made a banner in mxdn 2005 I guess. Nowadays, I have to say that Alessi has earned my respect. Note that I won't cheer for him, but times and situations change.

Unfortunately, I never raced motocross as a kid, but I played football my whole life in Catalunya, Spain and Italy. I do remember when we were winning by a big score and never, ever, did me or my team mates those gestures insulting the rival. And I still think that what he did is insulting, trust me, I have a master degree in italian gestures :-)

I didn't make a mistake cause I never said you hate Herlings but it is quite obvious you don't like him. It's not about the attitude, why would you start a thread questioning if he is an asshole?
And it's beyond me why a Dutch kid on an Austrian team with a Dutch mechanic would make italian gestures.
But it's all cool mate, you win. You're the expert in hand gestures.
It seems some brits in this thread can't get over the so called disrespectfull gestures to Tommy.
So smart from you to give me the reason, even when I don't want it.

Again, I don't like the way how he acts after winning by an insulting gap. Specially when everybody knows he could be 6th in the Nationals. And let me tell you that i'm not american. Thinking that you are a master when you are not, for me belongs only from assh*les behave.

I started a thread to share my disappointment and hoping he will change his behaviour, if not, please someone let him back to the planet earth.

Seems that you can't get over why some brits and other nationalities can understand what does it mean this gesture.

IMO Herlings ride will go down in history as one of the best EVER!
Why diminish it by questioning wether he is an as*hole
Yes yesterday was a 'special ride' by him as much as RC in the mud, watching him go that fast through some of the sections was OMG. I have recorded every GP so far this year but this is the only one I have watched without ffwding any as watching hime go like that on a track as brutal as Lierop was great to watch.

As for the comments I heard him say "try to beat the Americans & Tony at Lommel" but Malin quoted hime as saying he would beat them. If he does repeat the same sort of ride he deserves be to be called King of The Sand - but as others have said he is still a f$ck up who needs a good slap.

Why cant everyone just admit that it was admit that he was unreal. As for the attitude how did BAMBAM get his name. Just for whats its worth I dont like Herlings or Barcia and would rather anyone one else would win.

So that is what we call a prick now? "Passionate?" Like other posters have said there has been alot of ego freaks that this sport has a wierd way of straighting out. I highly doubt he will ever set foot here in the USA just like when he avoided the 2010 MXDN in Colorado, because he has seen how much of a uphill battle it has been for Ken and MM. They are alot better overall riders then 'lil bitch too.

OK I forgot about his injury, my bad, but he also was on record saying he didn't want to race because his team had no shot at winning. Sounds like his mind was made up. Dude is a sand specialist no doubt but he would get walked here by these guys. Just like Searle did.

Cant understand why people want all the riders both in mxgp and AMA to act exactly like RD5. Thats real exiting.

No worries.

He'll get a Reckoning in Belgium in a few weeks...he'll be shocked by "who" beats him, too.

This is gonna be hilarious.

Wel we can't tell until we see it happen, can we?

Searle got a 6th place and 3 podiums. Not bad i'd say.
He did not shine or impress, but he surely 'walked over' (as you like to refer) the rest of the top 10 and even over 2 in the top 5. Seeing as how tough the competition is in the US and him being a rookie there, i'd call that a good ride.

Rest of his seasons he was plagued by injuries, sadly enough. I don;t see him grabbing a championship there any time soon but no need to dismiss his rookie season there.

He got walked over this sunday tough, just like the rest of the field. Wink

Never liked Herlings. He looks like a child molester. I remember when he cried like a little bitch because he always finished 2nd to Roczen, an awesome and respectable rider. Roczen has picked up his game racing in the US so I expect him to beat Herlings as well as the Americans. Herlings might not even make the podium.

IF he ever comes over here for some great american racing, he will get an attitude check real quick. Wink
Jlaw was american and didn't last too long.

Let him live it up with the 2 minute lead in europe, then when he gets here to America he'll be lucky to see Roczen's patch on his skinny ass.

I can't wait till he drops some 'proper' f-bombs on live TV.

Wow! I love how the smack talk gets so personal around here. It's great to see that everyone knows how to play nice.

Here are the facts from last weekend:

vs.

Yes, Herlings' fastest lap time in the second moto, when the track is rough, was five (5) seconds faster than anyone else in MX1 or MX2. I'd be impressed if that hadn't gone to his head a little. He lapped up to second place in the first moto. That is absolutely incredible. No mud, no rain..perfect weather. Just sand.

Herlings will be extremely tough to beat at the MXoN.

I have a feeling we would have seen similar interviews from Barcia this season if reporters would have got to him before he had a chance to take his helmet off and cool down. Remember the lapper incident in SX? Barcia was fit to be tied.

Not making excuses for the kid but lets be honest.

So who's gonna beat him? none of Team USA if he rides like he did in Lierop last weekend!

Sounds like all you boys have got a "hard on" for Herlings and have to try and knock him because he's young, fast and Dutch.

Instead of marvelling at his supreme sand riding techniques, what you don't understand you have to try and be-little!

HAHA! You beat me to it. How about Barcia taking out the kid at Bercy then riding off like a bitch when confronted. Hmm, who's an asshole?
