Drunk? Or does he always have problems getting his thoughts out and ramble on about nothing?

Did you hear him in the first 450 moto? He actually got cut off by the producer at one point.

Its extremely challenging to be an analyst at a live event. GL is doing a good job. Emig defines refinement.

Langston is probably the best commentator with the exception of Emig.

Emig is like an MX Encyclopedia. So much knowledge of even the smallest things that go on.

Hopefully none of the 'Average Joe' viewers picked up on his 'fear of paralysis' comment. The word 'injury' would have sufficed.

That's not going to go over too well when little Johnny asks for a dirt bike. Very poor choice of words.

Grant is good. He's just getting started. Nice guy, too.

I think he does very well, we are all lucky to have boots like that, since the beginning of the year the comments are great !

Otherwise regarding the injury, I do not blame him, I know it fuels the industry but parents should be aware. A good friend of mine got tetra: speak to his parents and how they can feel responsible for it... Family drama, as much as MX is absolutely a great sport at building excellent relationship between kids and parents as they can have a lot of time together.

Sorry, I didn't mean to touch any nerves. The comment just really jumped out at me.

Again, for the record, I like Grant and thinks he's doing a good job.

Better than hearing "okaaaay" after every slow sentence.

Enjoying Langstons commentary, sounds natural with great pro insight.

if you must critique any of these commentators, first close your eyes and listen.
if a commentator can describe the event play by plays without your eyes, then he is awesome at his job..!
oh oh oh's don't cut it.

I prefer Langston(outdoor nationals) over rc and fro in that commentating stuff.

Langston has all of the knowledge of a past racer and is far more articulate that Fro, MC, or Carmichael. He has done a phenomenal job calling the ArenaCross races and will do just fine with the outdoor races. p.s. not everyone likes so-cal vernacular.

I think grant is a real commentator and is talking from hip not a script which some of that Super cross commentary sure sounds like to me, no offense to Fro but some of Ralph's stuff sounds like it gets practiced in front of the mirror... Ricky looses points for the cheep shots he throws at Fro very now and then lol.

You guys need to be thank full for the coverage your getting it is awesome!

Keep it up Zulu!

Yeah he was a bit of dick there,,I thought he was ok at first but he hardly shuts up sometimes,,not the most exciting. National I know but he doesn't have to talk for the sake of if,Emig is better IMO

I disagree, you can over do it with telly commentating. You don't need to explain everything happening on the screen, the viewer can see that themselves! Stick and ball sports are usually good at giving insight and what may happen next, while still keeping the on screen stuff interesting, without going too far either way. There was nothing more frustrating listening to emig dribble on about something completely irrelevant while there was an exciting race happening on the screen.

Personally, I thought the commentary was a little strained and didn't sound like a natural conversation, even when Georgia was on. But these people haven't worked together all that much - it takes time for them to let their personalities come out in their commentary. On GL's part, he sounded like he may be trying too hard to come up with things to say.

That can't be an easy job. Steve and I watch the races and we come up with quite a few funny or insightful comments every race; but the people on TV are expected to come up with 10 or 15 funny or insightful comments PER MOTO. I wouldn't want to do that job - too much pressure.
