Is Bubba an outdoor specialist now?

Edited Date/Time 4/13/2013 3:11pm
With James being out of points contention in SX, Bubba is probably looking at his four moto win streak from last year and hoping he can do it again, and more. Maybe with the more open tracks, Bubbas style isnt so much of a problem. And he did win all the motos in 08.

Your forgetting that Villopoto wasn't there and all the rest of the boys are healthy. I don't think he will be winning like he did at the start of the Nationals last year. But hopefully he comes out swinging cause the series needs him!

Last year there was no Villopoto. Reed, Canard or Barcia and Millsaps was on a different bike/program. We'll see.

I think RV is going to be the only person to challenge Dungey and Stewart. Canard will make some runs at the podium and hopefully wins but, TC, DM, and Reed haven't been very consistent through SX. I hope I'm wrong and we can just pass the red number plate from round to round this season.

That is of course, if SX indicates how outdoors is going to go.

Only way Bubba is going to beat RV, is if he gets his turning down to a nano second, like RV. He is going to have come up with a way to take it to another level, like RC did against him.

I dont think Bubba is healthy. I wouldt be surprised to see him get his knee or ACL or whatever is damaged fixed as soon as supercross ends. Bubba is waaaaaaaaaaay faster than he has been going and I think we all know it.

just watching lap times from say around the end of 2009 I'd say he is on par. I think that RV's agressiveness will be the thing that keeps him from rolling off a streak...RD was latched on pretty good just didn't pull the trigger like we all know RV would. Should be Good times-

I always thought James' riding style was better suited for outdoors. Although he has been top qualifier almost every weekend in Supercross.

It's always interesting to see who's set up and outdoor prep is close whan the gate drops at Hangtown. Suzuki certainly has great history with RC's, Chad's and Bubba's RM. You know the RD duo have been squeezing in their work with a champioship season behind them. RV's goin to have to lean on his staff and Wiemer's set up for starters and I'm sure they'll get additional prep time when he closes out the season after Salt Lake, but will they get it right? Same can be said for Barcia, TC and CR.

I also believe James will race for the win in SX if it's there for him, otherwise he'll ride safely to not risk another injury and line up for the outdoors. But there is nothing more grueling than our competition filled, deeped tilled, rutted and whooped out series on knees.

Yeah Reed and RV werent there but Dungey was and he got handled. And seeing as how Dungey usually destroys the field at Freestone, I would say Bubba's speed is just fine. Oh has Reed EVER beat Bubba outdoors on a 450?

Freestone is no more. The only thing I want to see this summer is all these guys healthy and going at it. It should be a great MX season.

James is a DIRTBIKE specialist. If he's lined up then he's in it to win it. Bad luck and distractions will always play a factor but I never count the guy out. Realistically, I'd have to say that unless RV suffers a string of breakdowns or an injury...he's pretty much unbeatable. (I'm not a fan boy...just stating the obvious).

I'd just like to see him be able to finish a series without a major crash/injury which is something he hasn't done since 2009.
