So everyone thinks that Chislom was trying to take Reed out...or just get in the way and slow him down a bit. Well, what about when Alessi holeshots and slows James up because he is going that much slower then James is. Is that considered team tactics? Reed knows Alessi isnt as fast as James but he does hope that he gets the holeshot and can hold James up just enough for Reed to gain some time. Now, what Chislom did was very stupid, but team tactics arent something new....Just read the Racerx interview on Reed. Everyone might remember he was upset he didnt have a teammate to help him out. But now that he is on the Rockstar Suzuki team and he is a changed man, Right?

team suzuki has enough class to leave the cheap tricks at home.

larry is not immune to stupidity by any means.

alessi will get a holeshot and do his best to keep stewart at bay, but he will not resort to jizzum-esque tactics

Lets not forget Alessi is not immune to jizzum-esque tactics...remember his KTM days. I am not saying that any of that will happen but I am also saying, dont doubt there is a chance that it can happen.

Its different when the team tactics are being executed by a lapper. If Alessi is down a lap then slows JS up, it is cheating. If Alessi holeshots and hold up JS, thats just racing.

i agree, however, it is clear to see the maturity he has gained since then. don't forget, he was fresh off the "Believe the Hype" train back then.

not to mention, it isn't his c-ship so the meltdown probability should be cooled to a simmer.

if i were chad, i would have dungey and alessi in there. not to mess with stewart, but to add some pressure to the cooker

I think they both should just ride there own race honestly and who ever wins, wins. James had nothing to do with Reed getting bumped by Chislom. I do think that he might have got word from LB to try and slow Reed up. Maybe not in that fashion but non the less. James showed that night that he can fall back 2 seconds and still have the speed to run Chad back down and pass him for a second time. The out come wasnt changed, the only thing that was changed was how many seconds James beat him by.

This has to be the stupidest question ever. Can you really be serious?

I'd bet Chad hopes that Chad gets the holeshot.

I think it really depends on who starts where. If Chad and James are 1 and 2 then the race will be very interesting. I would like to think they would race each other clean as they have been this entire year. I want them to battle all 20 laps in Vegas, that hasnt happened all year but it would be nice for the last race of the championship.

I believe that would be termed 'racing for position'.

Dungey and Stewart are friends doubt he'd be much of a factor besides even if Chad wins James only needs to get third to win

Didn't Chad have Ferry do some blocking at Salt Lake in like 03 or something and RC went ape shit on him?
