Practice will be pushed back to 9:30, with each group getting a 20-minute session.

If I heard correctly, top riders are seeded in, but they need to have at least one timed lap.

Seeded in? What does that mean? If they’re seeded, what’s the point of the time.
How is the gate pick actually determined?

seeded in? Thats stupid. Everybody should earn their spot. I would assume chad is not seeded and should not be in mx.

I would safely bet with Chad being a former champion he gets an automatic seed

It's probably because the track is so much faster for the first group that goes out which is 250B, and then after a couple of minutes the lap times go way up so they don't want the top guys to get screwed by that

Meaning the top ten is guaranteed to race. They still have to determine their qualifying spot.

When you have severely deteriorating track conditions, seeding the field is the only fair way to handle it. You can’t have the top riders sitting out because the track became a mud bog after round 1 of practice. If they are not able to run a standard qualifying session then Reed should to be in the field because he is a past champion. Do fans want to watch Reed or a 40th place qualifier?
