Benistant is out, he's recovering from a broken collarbone sustained two weeks ago.

Those races are pretty early in the year considered the GPs are starting pretty late and a good chance they are getting pushed back more.

If I’m remember right this is also the reason Gajser is pulled out of this series wich he normally lines up.

Yeah, that's true. Most teams were hoping they'd postpone these races aswell, but they didn't. After these 3 races the next one is on April 25th at Lacapelle Marival.

Renaux dislocated his shoulder in a crash.

Renaux: "I immediately set the fastest time and went for another fast lap. But I made a small mistake on the table top and landed a bit to far. I was thrown over the handlebars and dislocated my left shoulder when hitting the ground. I will visit my doctor tomorrow morning. I don't think I will need surgery, because I don't have that much pain and the physio was able to put my shoulder back in place again pretty fast."

Prado will be a force this year. Looks so effortless again while he's gapping some of the world's best sand riders

The Hoff taking an easy start to the first race of the season, he lost about 10secs in the first few laps. While Febvre was on Prado's tale. It's the first race. We'll see where he''l be at when the real competition startsWink

In my mind, I think he might go in as the favorite this year... Not a big favorite mind you, but a slight favorite. TG isn't going to go away easily and of course a healthy JH is tough to beat. But Prado is an amazing talent.

Yeah I don't think anyone can be a clear favorite in a class like this. Maybe Herlings but you never know with him.
Prado has made a huge step forward every single year so far. He was good enough to compete for the title last year already, after the first rounds where he just came back from injury.

I didn't see Dovi 04 in the line up.
Thought he was doing this series in his off year from Moto GP

Was Nicholas Lapucci on the 2T Fantic / Yamaha?

2nd in the MX2 Moto, and then 6th - first MX2- in the Super Final.

He raced at a regional race at Rivarolo Mantovano last weekend. 6-5 for 5th overall. Maybe he'll race some rounds of EMX Open this season.

He did great, but for a guys that finished 3rd twice and 2nd only to Prado in MX2 I wouldn’t say this came out of the blue. People seem to forget how good he was before his injuries last year. He’s a big guy that should suit the big bike better, excited to see how he does this year.

I was actually really surprised by his performance. Sure, it was a pre-season race, but his style and line choices set him apart from the others.

What's the story on AC222? His Instagram shows him gearing up, but nothing in the results?

Did anyone get some photos of the KTM's? This could be the new platform for 2023 or 2022.5.

That was my takeaway also. I wasn't trying to downplay his MX2 years, but to run within a couple of seconds of Febvre and Prado in each moto gave me something to think about...

Yeah it’s not like I was expecting him to ride like that exactly. But I didn’t feel that surprised either now that he’s healthy and hasn’t had any setbacks during the offseason. With that said, it still was only a preseason race with just a few front runners. Even getting top 5’s gonna be a tall order when the season starts.

I've updated the entries on page 1 for the second round at Alghero this weekend. In MXGP Jeremy Seewer and Ben Watson have been added, and in MX2 the guys from Hutten Metaal Yamaha (Bonacorsi, Sydow and Kooiker).
