I think you're right with that.

I can't recall AC ever racing at Hawkstone. But, I could be wrong .

Wasn't Hawkstone much earlier in the year, years ago? Often being in the snow? I keep on thinking it - this 'International" - came from a New Years Day race. I'm probably wrong with that.

As for the conflicting schedules I was whingeing about - it's a bit difficult not to have scheduling conflicts, as there's a fair few "Internationals" pre the GPs, Move things around, and you'll still have conflicts. There's a hell of a lot of high end Motocross racing going on in Europe and England, that the SX crowd just never seem to grasp.

It would be good to see Anstie win Hawkstone. And gain some long lasting consistency. He's Talented, Articulate , and a very funny young bloke, with a pretty cheery disposition.
They definitely had a race on New Year’s Day years ago. Not sure if it was the international, but there was definitely a race. That track is hard enough as it is, imagine trying to do it with a hangover Laughing

Coldenhoff looks good , maybe training with Herlings gives him extra fitness and speed

I wouldn't class Hawkstone as a hard track to ride if you have ever rode it, just a typical sand track. But i sure wouldn't like to ride it with a hangover!

Being Australian, Sand could only be White, Yellow or Orangey Red. That's what we have. And We have a Lot of it!

Growing up, Hawkstone looked like Loam to me.

First time I went there, my hosts kept on about Sand all through the drive to there. . I thought, what a bunch of Pommie wankers, they've got no idea.

Then, I saw this Brown Sand. Britain's a Strange place............ hell, they've got 'Beaches' covered in bloody Pebbles Whistling

The next addition to 'shades' of sand was when I finally got to Finland, with that weird, Volcanic stuff. Bugger that for a joke.Sick

AC, with the Holeshot!

I know exactly what you mean and also I would bet that them pommies would what? Loam?... It's sand haha. Every place have their differences for sure. On a side note, seems like there's a good battle brewing up between AC and Febvre at Noto.

Ashley Wilde has pulled out for Hawkstone for any of the Brits who know him.

"Unfortunately no Hawkstone International MX for me this year.. Little bit more bike time needed before we are ready to race!"

Has one hell of a setup this year aswell.

Those FMF silencers are just awful.

Noto looks like it’s hasn’t been graded in years.
That’s because it rained a lot on Friday, they actually prepped the track perfectly for the entire week. You can’t do anything against bad weather

There will be a few 'edit' type things, but nobody there filming properly.

My only question is how many laps does it take 84 to get to the front in the super final race. (Mx2 boys have a 5 sec head start). I’m thinking 3 maybe? 2 and a half? He should give everyone a 30 second head start and see how he does.
They havent gave the mx2 lads a 5 second start for years now. From what I have seen today herlings really had to work for it with trying to keep up with coldenhoff and paulin all over the back of him, in the 2nd race the only reason herllings caught up with coldenhoff was because a back marker got in the way. I was impressed with herlings though but not the 4 seconds a lap faster we used to see when he was on a 250

Back again on an 88/89?

Last year it was an 87. He's getting a bit 'flash' with these newer Bikes..........

How'd he go? Did he avoid getting caught up in others prangs?

The last question is, did any other Hondas turn up in the Open( I assume that's what the class is) class? Last year, he was the only Honda in the big bike class, to my recollection.

He was at the back, but looking smooth and having fun. Was quite nice to just hear a 500 ripping around Hawkstone once the meat of the pack had left him behind a bit.

Only other Honda 450's were Harry Bradley and 1 or 2 others. Only 1 Suzuki. Couple Kawis. Was a Orange/White and Blue show yesterday.
