While listening to the NHL network this morn, they had mentioned the avarage cost to get a child from PeeWee Hockey, to the NHL. The avarage price to produce a NHL player is $144,000.00.

Just a guess, but I would think MX would be waaaay more, and for less return (salary) on the investment.

Thoughts?

Don't they say that it costs a parent from birth to 18 a million dollars to raise your kid ?? Would be cool to see some sort of stats on all the sports costs for say 10 years ??

oh, well you gotta take in the conversion rate...lol

i dont know how you would average that. keep track of all your costs for a year (bike, gear\protectice equip, gas, supplies, parts, entry fees, practice fees, etc)

we probably spend that in wd-40 and chain lube. pfff....

I'm sure there are some mini parents that would say 144K would be a steal. My guess is that you would spend that much in 3 years. (if that)
