Showcase family's at a local track at whichever city there in for that round of sx. Call it "Together time at the track."
The Shop
Woman dont watch..
Feld is trying to improve woman viewership - with Make up to Mud.
I know first hand from some customer's wifes - who never used to watch - who love to watch now for that feature.
Feld knows every dick on this forum is gonna watch - shitty features and all.
No amount of "improved show" for the "limited market of actual people who ride" will increase viewership - that's already maxed.
What they want - is to get some vaginas to watch - which is literally "untapped" in this industry. If 1 in 10 woman starting watching - feld gets a far larger "bump" in numbers than catering to the diehards
Cut the bullshit.
Plus, like it or not, in most cases mum holds the purse and rules the roost. If mum's on board then its a green light for the whole family to get involved in the sport from just buying a ticket and attending right up to the grass roots level of participation.

Don't understand why this segment has severely triggered so many Vitards. Get a grip and learn to hit the mute button.
Even SX, the amount of promotion is zero. Nobody gives a damn about a few commercials in each town. If they even see them.
Makeup to mud is horrible. For the most part it was broken single moms with a whole slew of daddy issues, and even their kids have no daddy in the picture. Who wants to inspire to that?
Hey little 6 year old, you can be a trainwreck and ride dirt bikes and have a kid at 13 with no dad too!
That whole deal missed the mark huge for what it should have been. Again, this sport has no idea how to sell itself.
Where else do see little boys safely wandering around by themselves without a care in the world ? Nowhere but a mx track.
Team up with toy hauler company and tell that story every week instead trying to appeal to a group that is less than 1% of our sport.
They know all the numbers, who watches, what age, how many ride, how many sorta ride, how many show up for the crashes, how many show up for the “show”
Woman are 50 percent of the television “market”
While you care about dirtbikes, feld cares about dollars. The sell ad revenue.
If woman dont watch - they lose a HUGE revenue stream of potential ads.
I laugh “promote better”... One of the largest promotional groups and people say feld need to know how to promote
Sx has huge flaws - but feld knows how to promote.
The sport is dying. It needs injection. Feld spent huge dollars on some good ideas - one of which is make up to mud and plenty others you dont even know occur.
Its a 2 minute segment of ur life you can mute and grab a cold one if its that bad. Odds are you can rub one out too - as you must not be watching sx with your lady - as female feedback was insanely positive for the segments - and your gf would want to watch the segment and would be pissed if you dismissed it...
I like the family idea - but what will we learn? Little johnny's parents are going broke chasing a dream that pays like shit to most, he has no real support and needs some - but would like to thank all the “sponsors” who have killed off retail sales with a direcf to consumer loyalty program called sponsorship
Mom hates watching the kid get hurt and is a nervous wreck every moto (forkners mom if you ever knew her at the races)
Id say that segment sucks and has been done
Pit Row
Damn. I'll admit not paying much attention during MtM, but I don't remember that whole soap opera. A couple episodes were kinda downer, but some others were cool/inspiring. Especially if you have a daughter who is interested in the sport.
Trying to appeal to such a small segment of the population (women who ride and follow moto and spend money on moto) is silly to me. They need to focus on growing and appealing to the target audience, of which there are more numbers and spending power.
Most of the women at SX races are just going to a once a year event with their BF and looking to enjoy the atmosphere and get drunk, very few women go alone, or with other women. Some watch the races to sit alongside their significant other, but I doubt a huge number of women will set aside time to watch or Tivo a race and watch it alone. There are millions of men who do this every week.
Focus on making the content better. There are so many better things they could be showing than what they currently show. They need to do more pit coverage. Why are they so afraid of the technical side of the sport? NFL has hours of analysts discussing Xs and Os on chalkboards and on replays. They talk to coaches and players after the first half. Tony Romo dissects the game and the thought process of the players. We are way behind....
Makeup to Mud is Fast Forward fodder, and so was the other feature segments they tried. I liked the Kawasaki tech segments about the bike, those were awesome. Get a mic in the face of these riders on the gate, they sit there for 30 minutes waiting on the 250 main. Talk to the mechanics and team managers. Get a segment with JT, Mathes or Weege. Get more Daniel Blair segments, let him run around like the F1 reporter does on the starting grid. Thats some good stuff.
It was about a woman that crushes it off-road and has actually SOLO'D & COMPLETED the Baja 1000.
Thus, I'm revoking most of y'alls Man Cards until you AT-LEAST attempt that shit!
That is all,
