This will be my first time heading to Indiana for the supercross in my life... will be there from thursday to sunday.. any recommendations on food or sites to see on thursday/ friday?... Im staying like 2 blocks away from the stadium
You're a race fan. For sure go to the Speedway Museum. There's a lot of cool history in there. I've also done the Speedway tour, but I was sick (and half delerious with a fever) when I did it, so I don't remember much. I'd do it again.
A stop by Dallara (1201 N Main St, Speedway, IN 46224) is also cool, and close to the Speedway. One of our members works there, and Steve Cox and I got the behind the scenes tour a few years back. But there are some cool displays out front.
I looked at a few of the big race teams (Don Schumacher Racing, Andretti Autosport, Ganassi), and it looks like they don't have much for tours.
Have fun!

There is also a pretty good BBQ place over by the Speedway http://www.barbecueandbourbon.com/ right by the Indy Car race shops. Not sure if they do tours but you could check.
Its a really cool place. It's owned by ex-indycar driver Sara Fisher.
They have a bar/restaurant that overlooks a 2 level indoor cart track.
Foods good and reasonably priced. Plus it's fun to watch and drive the carts. Bring your own helmet and goggles if you want to drive a cart.
Then right across the street is Bigwoods Brewery if you're into craft beer.
Weather looks fine. Sunny and 40's on Thur/Fri. 40's on Saturday with a little snow/rain mix.
Typical Indiana weather. lol
If you're into that...
