Wife and I stayed at the exact hotel, 3rd floor. Didn’t hear a sound and slept well.

...Supercross fans that are drunk. loud and obnoxious?

That seems like total bullshit, SX fans are always on their best behavior in public.

It's also practically impossible that they were disturbing other guests after midnight, they were all probably in bed early so they could get up for Church the next morning.

Not SX but MX Indiana related. The Indy Road Pub in Crawfordsville (Ironman) has been our go-to place. Packed out with locals from kids to ancients. Singing to every song on the jukebox from Elvis to Led Zepplin is mandatory for everyone. Not many places like it still around. All fans of the race as well. No houghty thoughty in this place just hard working folks cutting loose.

I can believe it. Last two SX's I went to were in INDY. Drunk people before the show even started. I don't go anymore.

I feel for the hotel guest, though. I don't mind when people are partying in their rooms. or even passing through the hallways occasionally. But when they're super loud, out of hand, handing out the balcony, stomping up and down the hall all night, it really gets old. Maybe cut it out by 12:00?

We didn’t hear a peep. The only thing I did notice that some yahoo thought it would be hysterical to put their muddy footprints all over the inside of the elevator door. Not cool. 25 years ago I might have been the loud drunk guy. Now....it was lights out by 11:30. 😂 We did our drinking at a nearby bar earlier. Had a great time and loved the downtown area.

Ha...I'm not always up on the latest terms.

My wife and I have good friends (couple) named Karen and Kevin. LOL.

Neither of them fit the derogatory title though.

Good peeps.

Have you ever been at a hotel the night before a race and there was a group causing a ruckus, preventing you from getting a good nights sleep?

It sucks.

97 my chic and I stayed at the union station hotel, next to the stadium. After the race was fun hitting the bars, clubs . We had are goggles on, tore it up. Back at the room later, I talk my girl into streaking to the candy machine with just are goggles on. I tell her you 1st, as soon as she was in the hall. I shut the door, she’s yelling I,m naked let me in, etc haha. You have to check the Indy 500 track out the next day, cool and cheap.

Back in 2003 just before New Years I flew to Jacksonville Fl to buy a truck. My Son and I stayed at a Hotel by the airport.
It just so happened the NC State Football team and all that goes with it were staying at the same Hotel for the Gator Bowl that was happening in a couple of days.
We checked in at the front desk but I was having trouble focusing on what I was doing because of the hoards of drunken bikini clad Cheerleaders getting wild in the indoor pool to the left of the lobby desk. It was terrible I tell ya.. terribly awesome. I may or may not have done my best (worst) Matthew McConaughey in Dazed and Confused impression.
Later that night around 1 am I heard someone yelling on my shared balcony. I stepped outside to see the entire College band in full costume going through their entire half time routine (silently) in the courtyard below while I stood next to their conductor/leader. above it all.
I'll leave it at that.. it's a long story.. but damn.. a great memory all these years later.

My point in all of this is sometimes you just have to roll with it. That guy could have had a good time.

Must have been the PulpMX hotel. Couldn't have been the AMA folks...they would have been in bed by 10PM.

Could have been a youth soccer tournament, they got off easy.

It does suck to be in the right place at the wrong time to get a nights sleep.

Two places I use foam ear plugs: Races and sleeping in h/motels.

It's a really common cliche with a certain demographic, they don't want other people's nonsense imposed onto them because of their rights and stuff, but they love to impose their nonsense onto others because eff them.

I hate that hotel. I think it's a converted train station, right? I swear there's an active train track that runs right past the bottom-floor rooms. I got a rude awakening every 45 minutes when a train rumbled past just outside the wall of my room.
Oh, and the window from the room faced out to the lobby. I seriously had people standing just outside my hotel room window, chatting it up and smoking cigarettes. It's creepy. Holy crap, I just want to sleep when it's 2AM. I mean, I know I'm old and everything, but this was a dozen years ago now... I was young then!

Thats a common cliche for nearly every demographic.
