I've never seen this before today but i'm blown away. Travis has such skill on a supercross track.

I totally get why he went the FMX route....but damn that dude was fast and smooth when racing indoors and out. If he stayed racing I have a feeling RC may not have all the records he has.

Welcome to the internet back in 2000s. This was out there and viewed a lot, still impressive how massive those set of whoops were

I thought it was going to be about this:

"Sorry Goose, but it's time to buzz the tower."

Woah! Had forgotten about this!

I never saw that 2nd vid. That is how ya ride whoops. It’s possible to go threw whoops faster, than a flat straight away. I saw the 1st vid b4, those are big. Who else does free style why training, Travis Rocks. Fight club he said he could gain, up to 6 seconds a lap in the whoops. Stanton was like 6 seconds, Travis yeah 6 seconds or 4 or 5.

That 2nd video Mav posted is insane.

I'm always just mesmerized by the sound of a 2-stroke.... Incredible.

I was raised just off HWY 126 in Valencia during the 80's.

Those whoops beg for a few passes by DV on his YZ

Those long legs help in the whoops. Am I right RC?

|

Jaw drop at 2:50

|

4/27/2021 2:47 PM

That 250 looks incredibly hard to ride...power like a light switch...

And Travis manages it like a pro...if he would have focused on racing...RC’s resume would have a few more 2nds on there.

Holy crap! Much smaller whoops, but that was badass!

Speaking of Pastrana and whoops.....Anybody got the video of him going through the whoops at Washougal on the back wheel of his 125?

Witnessed it in person, that's a moto moment I will never forget

That dude can ride.

With the weight and inertia of today's bikes that would be difficult. Travis was and still is a bad dude. Wish they would build off the wall obstacles today rather than use standards.

And the most important part is that he is a genuinely nice and humble man.

It aint nothing but a little bit of this and a little bit of Braaaap!!!

4/28/2021 2:20 AM

Hearing a crisp properly jetted 2 stroke reminds me that of my 2 decades on a 2 stroke, I don’t think it was ever properly jetted.

It's interesting to consider what TP199's influence on the adoption of 4 strokes would have been.
