In Marv's Defense

Edited Date/Time 3/25/2019 9:28am
If you watch the replay there is one red cross flag being waved in the middle of three or four yellow flags. Being so focused on the race he could have seen the yellow flags and then jumped based on that. Super unfortunate for the championship it would've been exciting if he wouldn've won this weekend with Webb finishing off of the podium . . . unofficially of course.

There is no excuse, he just said on the podium he looked behind him and didn’t know what to do! That’s completely unacceptable. He knows. Why can’t he own up to his bad decisions?

He literally admitted he screwed up........when he said he didn't know what to do he meant for the rest of the race. What do you want him to do? Pull over and let everyone pass him? he did what he should have, kept racing and allow the officials to make their decision.

Even Marv couldn't defend himself on the podium. He's screwed.

If you own up to killing someone you still get charged with murder.

Dock him 2 spots and do the math on the points difference. He made a mistake and admitted it. It's not like he can pull over and say he's sorry. Wouldn't have mattered if he finished 1st or 5th, he still would have gotten docked positions, so might as well finish first. Still gains points on Webb, just not nearly as much. Tightens the points between everybody with just 5 races to go. Shaping up to be the best SX season in a long time.

Whats your point? Marvin is expecting a penalty.

You said he can't own up to to his bad decisions. Yet he did.

What do you want him to do? Disqualify himself from the race?

No, I was creating what is referred to as an "analogy"

This is often used to make a point but not meant to be taken literally.

This is especially useful when speaking to someone that is too dumb to read and comprehend the AMA rule book.

Any other questions?

I can understand why he did it. When your in the lead and adrenaline going full force and your concentration is maxed out on the track it’s hard for the brain to adjust all off a sudden and just stop and focus on something else.

That's why it is called an analogy, it's not supposed to be an equivalent in the first place dipshit!

Skip a day of riding and READ A BOOK.

What home school institution did you attend moran?

In Marv's defense: I probably would have rolled a Supercross rhythm section regardless of the flag, so props to him for having more balls than me.

In Marv's defense, he owned up to his mistake, unlike Foxborough last season. Marvin regained my respect.
