Should I use my new bike or the old bike?

What gear should I try it in?

1st gear, pull clutch and rev to limiter.... let clutch out as fast as you can or you won't get the pop you need. be sure to lean way back as well.

(if kids are reading this... don't do this)

Always remember, to much enthusiasm with the right hand can lead to a point of no return.

Most beginner wheelie poppers actually use someone elses bike. Also your first wheelie requires no gear at all, most seem to prefer sandals and a wife beater, you do not want to throw off yer balance with all that heavy safety gear. It looks better on video when we can see the scared poo less look on yer silly little face.

I understand if someone comes on here and asks for technique advice you guys have to spend a week berating that person so that you feel really cool but seriously is that really needed. The kid genuinely wanted a little advice from the board on how to whip his bike. Big F-n deal. Either give him advice or don't but why spend the next few days trying to belittle the kid?

Edit::::: Sarcasm alert!!! Sarcasm Alert!!!

Dan, I'm gonna splain something to you AGAIN....Some of us have been around the different boards for quite some time... Some people know what is going to happen, before it happens and just want to have a little fun!

My thread was started, because of the person mocking the original poster... If this was VitalMX three years ago, or the original MD, the entire front page would be loaded with "How to" threads....... And the original poster would either, have a good laugh, or quit the boards..... It's all in good fun and shouldn't be taking to seriously!

Sorry for my little rant, Carry on!

Pass beer to buddy and don't forget the magic words "Hold my beer and watch this" Only works if you do this exactly. Then pin it, pop the clutch and watch the ladies remove thier shirts. Mostly to cover your road rash but it really works.

Use that old Schwinn Apple Crate. Just lean back on that sissy-bar and pedal, man!

If you're doing something like this, its probably not the correct way to pop a wheelie!

Buy 12 new rear fenders and 4 new subframes and go get 'er done. If at first you don't succeed, try try again.

Keeping your foot on the brake pedal is helpful, too.
