Great shots...can't be any clearer than that. I don't agree with a one year probation...that's a long haul.

Thanks Steve. Man , that wasn't even a hard hit.....it was a " scoop right under the guy , and toss him off his bike " type move. I swear , last night's 250 main had to be one of the most intense races I've ever seen around the 7min mark. I was literally on the edge of my couch. Crazy race for sure.

I know there is a million threads on this, I agree it was a pretty gnarly takeout, but I think it was completely unintentional, Dylan’s impatience just got the better of him.

DF had the line and Jett didn't want to give it up (understandably)

Jetts bike is straight up and accelerating, with front wheel already launching off the jump. Ferrandis is laid over like a fish out of water trying to finish his turn/aggressive move. From that picture Ferrandis does not ‘have the line”

DF needs to learn how to block pass.

In what world does DF have the line here? 30 feet back from the corner when Jett is already lined up straight and accelerating towards the triple? https://www.instagram.com/p/B7hB9XdgE1h/?igshid=1auudxyti4rws

If he had the line he wouldn’t be at a complete stop trying to block Jett and doing the triple himself

Nothing wrong with that move definitely tried to scare him but gave him room and Jett stayed committed.. Not sure why Jett went outside on the last lap he was damned either way though.. There was more than one pass made in that corner! I won't mention Jett runnin the 'Emig fade' from the 3rd pic on either haha

Thanks for posting the original, GuyB. I was one of those who immediately cried foul, and was bitter over Ferrandis taking out Christian Craig. Although I still don't like it much...I'm not now blaming Dylan for intentionally gunning for Craig. I think he came in really hot, and even tried to avoid a hit, but his momentum got the best of him. I'm still glad it didn't wind up putting Craig in the medical rig.

Jett was nice in the bowl turn before the second set of whoops. A lot of guys would’ve parked Ferrandis after the move posted above.

This is the best view IMO.

Craig left the door open, Ferrandis took the chance. He calculated that he could undercut Craig and that Craig would have to shut off, but he underestimated both his own entry speed and Craigs exit speed. Shit happens.

Not intentional, not dirty. Just a split second error of judgement.

Other riders do not ride with that kind of aggression not because they are scared but because they know that actions have repercussions/penalties. The million dollar question is the next time someone rides like this, will it be penalized?

The real problem here is the inconsistencies in all the penalties that have been given through the last few years.

Anyone think there won't be payback? There is an East race on April 18 and the East/West shootout is May 2. You think Jett will respect that Dylan is in a title race?

All I’ve learned from this is the Frenchman has bigger balls than any American out there, including the barely pubescent 16 year old that cried his way off the track.

Uhh...you do know he broke his collar bone right? I guess you're a tough guy who likes Frenchmen with big balls.

And I'm pretty sure the 16yr old is from Australia. HAHAHA

I disagree. DF cut the entire corner heading straight for Jett. If Jett had taken off a microsecond later he would have definitely been tumbling down the track just like Craig did. DF was riding like a desperate idiot Sat night and he COULD have injured two different riders in the same race making bonehead decisions. He got off way to easy with Probation. He rode like a rookie. Not a vet champ in the class.

If we can't agree if the pass was dirty or not, can we all agree that that corner was poorly designed and to put it bluntly stupid?

It is a split second decision to hit someone in the face in a street fight also. If the guy then falls, hits his head and dies you pay the consequences accordingly. You don't pay for the punsh, you pay for the outcome, or possible outcome.

Same shit her, poor decision or not, craighs championship or podium is now dead and it could have had a nasty outcome.

Running into jett on the jump face was also something that should have rendered a penalty.

Sport is dangerous as is, no need to go beyond what's already included in your own riding and executing.

Ferrandis rode like a dick- I don't think he meant to send Craig flying but that was a clear take-out. There was nowhere for Craig to go. And bumping Lawrence on the take-off of the jump was a likewise reckless and dangerous move. I hope Ferrandis gets his karma and loses that plate.

Wished he would of completely cross jumped Ferrandis on the single blocked him off the triple but he was a tenth to slow.

Most of the guys now seem to be fairly respectful, you don’t see many riders diving in on corners, cross jumping or as many aggressive block passes compared to years ago. I’m not saying that’s bad or good, just an observation.

With that, if someone clearly shows they’re up for breaking away from that by being aggressive and taking a dive to steal a line or push someone off the track, they should absolutely expect some riders to return the favor. I would expect see some riders riding a little differently around DF going forward.

Absolutely. I was thinking that was going to happen and he checked up. That prob will never happen again. 16 year old rookie phenom learning on the fly.

By that logic I took the chance that I wasn’t too drunk to drive, I miscalculated the light turning red and underestimated the speed I was traveling when I Tboned someone in the intersection.

“Your honor, it was unintentional and shit happens, it was a split second error of judgement”.....

Congrats, you’re still getting a DUI.

With all of that being said, I want to be clear that I fully support block passes, take outs, hell even a good front wheel chop off, but that wasn’t the case here. Ferrandis knew exactly what he was doing when he did that.....it’s even more evident when damn near Tboned Jett off the face of a jump.

Ferrandis is a dirty rider, plain and simple
