... just wait until electrics take over.
Has anyone here been behind an Alta? I have. Not something I'll soon forget. Makes sense too with the instant torque they have.

I diced with one at Washougal a few weeks back. They definitely hurl a lot of roost, probably the worst I've seen. He was faster in the corners but wouldn't jump anything so we wen't back and forth a lot, which left me with a nice variety of bruises. I tried to pay him back every time we went up Horsepower Hill. I made sure once I got by that I went over to his line and hammered it.

I wish that I would have the opportunity to ride one. But living in Alaska makes the odds slim to none. I'm a huge fan though.

James I’ve had a lot of fellow rides say the same thing. I use a 100-90/19 tire just think of the roost a wider tire would produce?
I don’t think people realize just how much the roost makes it hard to pass in the Pro Classes

I always seem to get the hands and the inside of the biceps. I took a big rock right off the goggle lens at PIR a couple weeks ago. Goggle held up or it would have been bad.
The faster the class, the worst the roost for sure.
Took one to the upper lip yesterday, I like to ride with shooting glasses instead of goggles and no handguards, but I'm not doing that anymore.

Had the chance to try one last weekend Alta showed up with a like sprinter van and was offering demo rides on the mxr. I should have but they wanted you to fill out a feedback form. It was actual alta not some local dealer thing.
SoCal is correct, its unbelievable. My buddies got one and lives down the street. I have a small loop in my back yard he was over last week and we were playing around. After an hour it looked like a gncc turn or a day after some tilled chocolate cake. The instant torque the alta's have is incredible. He was throwing roost down over the hill that sounded like it went for miles in the woods, Dropping like rain drops on the leaves. I was filming him on a hill climb and the roost coming off the rear wheel was much greater than any 450.
I haven’t seen the Alta, but the 450’s are bad enough. I didn’t have hand guards on in a race at HSR and at the end of the race I had blood dripping out of my gloves and swelling fingers...lol
