I had to check with the boss (prego wife) to get the ok.. I begged lol Told her "hey after this year I wont be able to fly out to shoot photos at these races cause the baby so I need to get it on this summer. Im going to Hangtown for sure and Glen Helen is %80 right now.. So with all you motoheads here from all over the country if you had 4 US Nationals to choose what would they be and why.. Thanks for your input this si the only real way to choose.. Im def leaning towards Red Bud for one of the,..

Red Bud for the B lot and #5 five foot bong in the woods with d14 legends, stripper poles, burning corvettes, gestapo lot sweeps, security beer targets, fire jumping, wagon racing, bbq chicken and corn onthe cob, puking blood in pissed pants waking up to the sound of m80's at intermission, stanton walking the track and watching 30,000 people drive away drunk.
Glen Helen for the boobs and black socks
Thunder Valley for the lights and Mtns
Unadilla before it's gone.

I've only been to Unadilla, southwick and Broome-tioga
I've been to southwick 5 or 6 times and I think everyone should see the pro's in the sand at least once.
I've been to Unadilla pretty much every year for the past 17 years.....Its changed but its still great and worth the trip.
Broome is a moot point but wasnt worth the trip if you lived more than 100 miles away.

I loved the place for the MXdN.
Red Bud - July 6, 2008

Buchanan, MI
For the leap and the most sano (includes the total complex) layout. The imported sand on the track is a nice addition, too. But, um, Lot A, for geezers like me...:-)

Washougal - July 27, 2008
Washougal, WA
Ahhh, the pine trees and Horsepower Hill.

Spring Creek - Aug 17, 2008
Millville, MN
I just love this track and I have been visiting Millville since 1977 and I sure ain't stopping now!
Skip Southwick and their damn 8-foot chain link fence! Ruins spectating!

Glen Helen - Because it's local

Lakewood - Interested to see how the night National will turn out

Budds Creek - an excuse to see family out that way

Millville - To hang out with the Whoop Monster.

If I could pick any four of them without constraints of dates (Unadilla and Southwick are both during weekends I have business meetings) and travel (I can't afford to fly so I'm limited to east coast races)...

Probably Glen Helen, Lakewood, Red Bud, and Southwick. Folks have already mentioned the reasons: awesome track, the night race could be cool, the Leap and the partying, and seeing the pros in the sand.

Of those four I hope I can at least get to Red Bud. It's a damn long drive.

Glen Helen, High Point, Red Bud, and Millville.

Although a national under the lights would be pretty sweet. Maybe replace High Point with Lakewood if I had a bunch of friends going aswell.

I should have read the original post a little bit better.....!

Sounds like you might can go to the West Coast rounds fairly easily in the future, so I would concentrate on the East a bit more.

I imagine this will get me into trouble agreeing but these are the perfect picks for all the right reasons. Hmmm but Red Bud does have the atmosphere! How about 5?

i'm limited by the schedule this year and am only going to 4... although i'm happy with the 4:
- High Point... RacerX party... and cool track
- Thunder Valley... night race
- Red Bud... 'nuff said
- Budds Creek...

i'd probably swap Budds for Glen Helen, purely because it's the opener... and maybe have Millville instead of Thunder if it weren't for the lights.

really though... you can't pick 4 bad ones Smile
