If you could have any two bikes to cover all kinds of riding (moto, single track, desert, etc.), what would they be and why? This could be any brand, year, or variation... just any two bikes that would allow you to successfully conquer all types of terrain with a smile. If you’re lucky enough to actually have them, let’s see some photos of your stable.

Sherco 300 Factory Enduro and Sherco 250 Factory Trials.

Have the Sherco trials bike, on a Beta Xtrainer right now for my trail riding and happy with it overall just itching for something new at some point.

I have a YZ250 now and want another 350. I think they would be perfect together.

YZ250 and an adventure bike of some kind... Maybe a BMW.

I already own my two dream bikes. 450sx-f for the MX track. 300 XC for woods, dual sports, MX track, and everything else in between.

I am not hell bent on the KTM 450...I'd ride green, red, or may even the new blue 450 without hesitation. The Beta and Sheco 300's are also looking great. Having two bikes of the same brand and era is nice for stocking parts....and having spares when you need something.

I like my current combo 300XC for off-road, 250f for MX. But I could trade the 250f for a 125/150 and be just as happy if not maybe a little more happy! Photo

I'd keep my 2018 FC350 and add a TX300 Husky for every other application imaginable.

I also like to try a Sherco some day. Never ridden a Trials bike, so can’t commit.
Pit bikes are fun but if it’s only 2 IDK if it’s making the cut?
If there are ONLY TWO BIKES, I’d prefer the same brand because of possibility of shared parts.
That is a very good question. Thanks for making us think!

I would say “excluding pit bikes” for now. I posed this question because I’m on a 350 sxf now, but I’ve been riding a lot of tight single track recently since the tracks are closed. I absolutely love the 350 for track riding and NJ sand pits, but it’s a bit rigid for tight, piney trails. I also live in the woods, and it would be convenient to have a barely road legal bike to connect trails with streets. So, I got to thinking, what would the ideal second bike be... for me, I think it’s something like a 350/500 exc-f or a TX300i if I could get it plated. But of course, everyone’s situations and local riding conditions are different, so I thought it would be a fun question to put out there.

Check if your state has a decent trials "scene", if so i would recommend jumping in with both feet if you can swing it.

It's just as fun as trail riding IMO and gives you some technical you won't get from just trail riding. An absolute blast IMO, in Michigan we rode trials more than the dirt bike because it was that good.

We relocated to Texas late last fall are fortunate that our new house has a large enough yard to build a few obstacles & sections. Downside, the trials scene in Texas doesn't seem quiet as good as Michigan from the 1 event we did (not saying it was bad, but the group in Michigan did an excellent job of making us feel welcome and apart of the group from day 1, same with the family enduro group there so the bar was set extremely high)

Ktm 250sx and a crf110 can tackle pretty much any task

4/12/2020 5:43 PM

250XC and KX450f

I can only have one to do everything from dual sport to hitting the track.

I chose a KTM 500 XCW.

|

4/12/2020 6:04 PM

I'd take a 2020 KTM 300EXC (or Husky equivalent) and either an '82 or '05 RM250.

|

4/12/2020 6:41 PM

kTM 300 xc x 2.
