Thanks for sharing! Just picked up 78 CR390 Husqvarna as a project to rebuild and get running over the next year. This is great motivation to get started on the project!

In theory, but minor adjustments weren't an option.

:-)

My advice to anyone going down the Vintage bike path to ask yourself what kind of shape is your back in? Next the first money you spend on your mount should be rear shocks. Get them rebuilt or preferably replaced. Your back will thank you for it.

Best thing about riding older bikes is how well they turn

This is awesome. I'm saving that quote.

" You thank whoever is up there, every morning you open your eyes, an everyday you can put your body on a motorcycle, thats pretty good enough for me"

I've actually caught the evo racing bug. Not as hard on your back. Smile

Great video & thread here amongst the idiocy.

Awesome seeing Karsmakers & Larsson still riding, and looking good on the old bikes. I swore off vintage racing a few years ago because of the sheer cost of repairs when the bike broke ("when"...not "if")...but this stirs me up a bit.
