If Stewart did it, it would have just been a racing accident.

You forgot to add that it would only be 5% of the people here calling it that.

I was going to say something, but these pictures cleared my thoughts and took me to a happy place Smile

If Stewart had done the same, all my comments about Reed would be directed towards Stewart.

That was Stewart's big mistake of the night. He should have seen that one coming, checked up and turned it back inside for the re-pass.

James's favorite move is not a knife under. It is the art of "death from above". Or from under if you are KC.

I don't get why every time Reed hits James, everyone bitches and moans about but when its the other way around or other riders, everyone says "rubbing's racing"

Great pic from GuyB on the homepage!

I do believe Stewart did this very deliberately! I'm not going to weigh in on whether it was right or wrong.... I know if I FELT someone just took me out (another matter of opinion) I would have done the same thing!

I'm am happy though it wasn't the same outcome as last year where it turned into an injury!

It looked to me like they were tangled up, Reed's bike was between JS and the #7 bike, and it was the fastest way to get back on his bike and get moving. He was trying to salvage as good of a finishing position as possible, not trying to hold up Reed.

Don't take this the wrong way but I would probably feel different if James did the exact same thing. Not because I'm a hater or because I like Chad better. I just always assume that the only reason anyone is even close enough to Bubba to "race" with him is because he has matured enough to slow down and ride within the limits of his tires, brakes, suspension, chassis. The same thing most racers learn at an earlier stage than Stewart has. Self preservation or the knowledge that staying on two wheels is faster than dirt naps...either way, every rider out there learns that lesson or has a very short career. James has been able to "avoid the laws of physics" for longer than most (I believe that's where his uber talent has saved him). I have come to expect him to be able to go faster than anyone else...at any time or place on the track....and even tho I enjoy the heck out of his amazing display of talent, I find myself rooting/wishing for someone to find their own freakish skills and at least push him. (Geesh, I just re-read my post and I don't even have to be drinking to sound stupid).

On TV you can see him push a bit harder than necessary to get back on his own bike. He then tries to mess with Reed for the rest of the last lap and ends up losing an extra 2 points when Reed goes by in the last turn. If I was big James I would have yelled too. That could be the championship with RV back out front by 10 points.

This is just racing also. It's James's job to get up as fast as he can, and if he slows the other rider down in the process then so be it.

No different if the shoe were on the other foot.

X2 little dave.........James either had no idea chad had him covered or just thought stuff IT!....either way a racing incident.........

shame Villo got the win though as the points were starting to tighten up.
