I feel bad for JGR. Such a great team. They want to win a title so bad. Nothing against Millsaps but if he is JGR's only hope for a outdoor title they should stay home like James.

I will be shocked if James does outdoors. He already looks burned out.

Is anyone else getting "Prince's" twitter feeds....? This cat is in party mode, there is no way he races outdoors.

Finishes his 3 year sx contract and becomes the first black stock car racer with Gibbs...story over.

I hope Bubba shows up for the nationals! Could be an awesome summer. As for him running stock cars. I have a hard time picturing him running consistent in nascar. If anyone could have done it I thought rc could.

I still think he does them honestly, especially if they continue to get the bike better. It'll be his loss if he doesn't do them. I think he likes the outdoors so the only way he won't do them is if he just hates the bike. In that case I think JGR will have bigger issues then just not having a legit shot, it will signal a beginning of the end of their partnership IMO.

He won't be the first. There have already been a handful of black stock car racers before him. But none of them drove for teams as strong as JGR. With JGR backing him, James has a great chance to be the most popular and most financially successful in the sport. He won't even have to win. Just qualify well. Look at how much media attention Danika Patrick is getting already this year with her switch to stock cars. She's sold a hell of a lot of t-shirts and diecasts and the season has just started.

If James is bummed.....it's probably because he's tired of getting the shit kicked out of him!

The wins don't come as easily as they did 4-5 years ago and now he has these younger , stronger , more determined riders.....that WANT IT!

I think 99% of it.....is NOT his age ( he's in his prime ).....it's because he took it for granted and took to much time off from the outdoors. He hasn't done but one single race outside since 2008.....that's a long time.

" I think".......that if he was to buckle down , do the outdoors and get himself back into race shape , race mode and get his shit together......we would see him towards the front A LOT more next year in SX.

Damn guy just needs to get his hunger back. He has the skill and everyone knows that. Needs to build that fire under his ass again and go out and prove to himself he can still do it!

Shit....I have slammed on James quite a bit over the years......but truthfully.....I don't want to see him go away from the sport. I dig watching that guy race when he's on two wheels!

BTW.....saw his go-pro video from Oakland last night........after he won and he was yelling and screaming from excitement inside his helmet when he crossed the finish line......made me smile and I felt proud for the dude.

When James loses the title he will not race outdoors, he would not have raced outdoors even if he did win the title.

Dude, clean house? A little optimistic, no? I would love to see him outdoors, and I agree with jeffro on this one. I don't think he will do it. I don't think he likes the idea having to chase the Ryan's around all summer. But again, if he doesn't he will continue to sacrifice his race craft. Then there will be Barcia and Wilson to contend with very soon as well. Ain't gonna get any easier....

Never. He will never "clean house" outdoors while Chad and the two Ryans are racing.

He is not racing Tim Ferry and Grant Langston anymore. The current other boys are very much his equals, if not betters.

I have always been of the opinion that James was faster outdoors than indoors. Don't take into account his perfect season out doors but his wide open sometimes high risk style always seemed to work best on an outdoor track with more room. Remember when he raced the 125/250 class? I know that was a long time ago but at the time his goal was to win by a minute, each race.

When James loses the SX title he will race outdoors. Take it to the bank.

James isn't having fun right now from what I'm seeing. Like some of the others have said, why would he want to chase Chad and the Ryan's around all summer in 90 plus degree heat. Dude isn't racing past May, stamp it.

The only thing he's going to clean out is his locker in the semi after the SX season. The Ryan's would destroy whats left of the mystique outdoors. He's had a heck of a run but the torch has been passed.

IMO if james races outdoors then i gaurantee you he will be much better prepared to race supercross mentally and physically. I think that skipping outdoors has really thrown him out of his groove.

The "mystique" has been gone for easily about 2+ years.

The pits no longer fear Bubba like they once did. In fact, many laugh at the thought of him coming back to do the outdoors. They think he's the one who is scared.

Should he race the outdoors? Yeah. Will he, I have no idea.

My thoughts exactly. He needs to stop training at just his house and start racing, he is obviously not in the race shape of Reed, RV, and Dunge.
